There were many references that would be helpful for those considering a family or intimate wedding,
so I'd like to introduce a few of the experiences that were sent to us*
Wonderful Family Wedding Experience ①
First up is the experience of @haru_wd919 who had an intimate wedding at Anivell Ciel Minato Mirai.
Anivell has a strong image of hosting large and glamorous ceremonies,
but they held a wedding focused only on close friends and family, allowing for a close distance with guests*
They didn’t plan a bride's letter or performances for the reception,
instead taking plenty of time for mingling, talking slowly with each person, and capturing lots of photos, enjoying a cozy moment together ♡
Both the bride and groom were somewhat nervous by nature, but it seems that having a wedding with only close friends made them feel at ease emotionally too*

Next is @f__kcr's experience of hosting a wedding in Miyakojima with 18 guests*
The charm lies in the fact that an intimate wedding allows you to celebrate in extraordinary resort locations like Miyakojima.
During the dining party after their outdoor ceremony, all the guests chatted together. It became a homey atmosphere while reflecting on past memories♩
In larger weddings with 60 to 80 guests, family and relatives often end up sitting far away, making it hard to find time to talk, but with fewer guests, family becomes the focus.
Being able to share happiness close to the family who has been by your side the longest on the wedding day is truly appealing♡
Guests commented, "It was nice to talk slowly," and "It had a warm atmosphere," which brought them joy ♡
Wonderful Family Wedding Experience ③
Next, we have @tomostagram0503's experience of having a family wedding at the Yakushi Onsen Hatago in Gunma*
They chose to hold a family wedding because they felt that the ceremony style "Shuugen," which means to connect two families, was perfect for them as they decided to cherish family.
Having a family wedding at a hot spring inn offers the delightful charm of enjoying delicious meals in a nature-rich location and taking relaxing baths!
As there was no need to entertain guests, they were able to savor their special day without feeling rushed and spent ample time with family*
Wonderful Family Wedding Experience ④
Next is @akr_wedding_0126's experience of having a ceremony and reception for about 30 people at Riviera Aoyama*
Because it was an intimate wedding, they prepared guest-participation events like a thank-you bite, dozen roses ceremony, bouquet pull, and dessert serving, ensuring that everyone had their moment in the spotlight♩
It's guaranteed that this created deeper memories for the guests beyond just sitting and watching.
They chose a sofa style for the head table for closer proximity, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere where they could enjoy a lot of food during their family wedding♡
Wonderful Family Wedding Experience ⑤
Finally, I’m sharing rin_9200's experience of having a private guesthouse wedding at Averlir Goeihinkan Omiya*
At a regular wedding, it would be difficult to take photos with each guest individually, often resulting in just a group shot at each table,
but they could invite each guest to their prepared photo booth for a three-person photo with the couple, which was very nice ♡
Additionally, they had a dessert buffet at night, and because it was an intimate gathering, guests could freely take as much as they wanted♩
It was a wonderful way to offer hospitality that suits an intimate wedding*
Feeling Interested in Family & Intimate Weddings ♡
I read all the experience stories shared on Instagram,
and each bride really treasured their time with close guests,
making for truly meaningful celebrations filled with a spirit of hospitality ♡
It's often said that extravagant weddings are decreasing in this day and age, but experiences about family and intimate weddings are still relatively rare, and it can be challenging to know what to refer to.
At Marry, we aim to provide various information to assist those interested*
We’d love to feature your shared experiences in future articles as well*
