Exciting and Thrilling Wedding Dress Try-On♡
Since the moment I decided to get married, I've been looking forward to trying on wedding dresses and colored dresses*
I brought along my husband, mother, sisters, and best friends as my advisors and photographers,
and the bride-to-be is all pumped up, saying, "I'm going to find the dress of my dreams!"♡
But when I looked back at the photos...
After trying on several dresses that caught my eye and getting some photos taken, when I looked back at them...
(Wait, there are hardly any good photos...!)
(And honestly, there aren't enough photos to begin with...)
(This one's blurry, this one's with my eyes closed, I can't post these on Instagram, oh no!)
It's common for brides to have this unsatisfactory outcome.
So then I snapped at my husband and mom, "Why didn't you take better photos?!"
But they would respond, "How would we know how to take pictures? We're not professionals!"
"You should have told us beforehand," they would say back,
and it's often the case that this leads to fights or awkward atmospheres in real situations.
It's such a shame and regret that what should have been a dream dress fitting can't be enjoyed fully...
Teaching them how to take cute "dress fitting photos" will solve everything!
Therefore, to eliminate misunderstandings and troubles related to post-try-on photos,
it would be all good if I taught my husband and mom some tips on how to take cute "dress fitting photos" in advance♡
Future brides heading for dress fittings should definitely check these tips and share them with their companions*
Tip 1: Ask for continuous shots*
When asking men or older generations like our moms to take photos,
they often take just one shot, saying, "Say cheese! Okay, got it!"
(This happens a lot, right?)
But it's impossible for us, who aren't models, to nail both our facial expression and pose in just one chance.
Even professional models select the best shots from hundreds or thousands taken, so it's even harder for us regular folks.
Therefore, to capture natural and lovely moments, we should ask for at least 10 shots for one pose, requesting continuous shooting♡
Just one note: No blurry photos.
If there are blurry shots, they shouldn't count as "taken," so we need to be mindful of that too*
Tip 2: Engage in conversation while taking photos*
However, just taking photos in silence can be boring and can make our faces stiff.
So, it's also important to engage in conversation to bring out natural smiles and expressions while getting our pictures taken*
For example, questions like, "What's your favorite part of this dress?"
"What brand is this dress?"
"How are you feeling right now?"
or encouraging comments like, "You're so cute!"
"Looks good!"
"You seem so happy!"
"I'm so lucky to be marrying such a cute bride!"
Let's have them speak up like a hyped-up professional photographer♩
Even if it sounds a little fake, it’s better than silence.
Both the photographer and the subject should put aside their embarrassment and shoot in a bright and cheerful atmosphere♡
Tip 3: Get straight-on shots*
When asking for full-body photos, many people often take photos from a low angle with bent knees.
That might make your legs look longer.
But!
Photos from below don't typically show your face attractively and can highlight double chins, which is such a negative aspect.
So, for full-body shots, make sure to stand straight and get balanced shots taken from directly in front*
Tip 4: Ask for vertical shots
When taking photos with a smartphone, it’s surprisingly common for people to automatically turn the camera sideways to take pictures...
But when it comes to dress fittings, there's absolutely no need to position it horizontally. It doesn't help at all if the fitting room space looks excessively large in the shot.
So, be sure to ask for vertical shots to capture yourself as the main subject prominently!**
Tip 5: Also take videos
It's important to take not just photos, but videos as well.
Spinning around, squatting, walking...
Being able to see yourself in motion will certainly help when choosing "the one" later on*
Plus, you can also capture photos while recording videos. Utilizing that function might be a good idea!
Get lots of cute fitting photos taken♡
While brides want lots of cute photos,
the grooms or mothers accompanying them often do not understand the level of photos the brides are looking for, which is quite common.
To eliminate this misunderstanding and to get plenty of adorable photos,
let’s head to the dress shop after sharing the tips introduced this time!♡
