How to Make the Crane Shower Containers①

The software used is Word.

Set the paper size to B5. (Regular-sized origami is reportedly too small for the containers.)

Since the paper for the containers needs to be square, create a square using Insert → Shapes and expand it to the maximum size (gray line).

Choose a smaller square using Insert → Shapes, set the frame color to vermilion, and leave the fill as none.

Place two images of your favorite Japanese patterns in diagonal corners, remembering to tilt them 45 degrees!

Once the design is complete, print it in color on B5 paper and cut it along the gray line, and you will have the paper for the containers.

Next, we will fold the paper into the shape of the container.

① Fold the square paper in half to form a triangle.

② Fold the left edge of the triangle towards the top point as shown in the image in the upper left.

③ Fold the right edge in the same manner.

Finally, fold the upper triangle of the pentagon down towards you, covering it like a lid, and it’s complete! ♡
