How to Have a Wedding Without Regrets?
A Wedding with My Beloved Partner ♡
It’s incredibly happy just to have family, friends, and colleagues celebrate the wedding, but because you worked hard to prepare, you might worry about small mistakes or feel regretful after the wedding, thinking, "I should have done this or that."
What are the regrets that past brides have experienced?
To help future brides avoid these same regrets, we will share the “wedding regrets” shared by previous brides.
Keep these in mind!
Regret #1: I Was Expressionless During the Profile Introduction
There are brides who regret being expressionless during the profile introduction.
The profile introduction lasted longer than expected, and they ended up with many photos showing a scary face because they looked too serious.
The brides felt, "I should have smiled, even if it was a forced smile!"
It's easy to become expressionless during introductions or speeches. Be sure to keep your mouth corners uplifted and avoid looking scary at any time!
➡ Although only the guests are speaking! The couple's reactions and behaviors can be unexpectedly seen.
Regret #2: I Wish I Had Asked to be Photographed from the Back During the Re-entry
During the re-entry, one bride had her photos taken from the front but was disappointed when the photographer delivered distant photos instead of close-ups.
She wished she had asked for a shot from the back since guests could take photos from the front.
Deciding where the photographer should take shots during the re-entry scene can be tricky. If you only have one photographer, it might be better to ask them to take photos from the back that guests can't get.
Regret #3: I Didn’t Finish Preparing the Ribbon Shower
One bride who did a flower & ribbon shower planned to order fewer flower showers to save money and make the ribbon showers herself, but ended up having no time and only managed to make a few ribbons.
Ultimately, she requested more flower showers and managed to create a festive atmosphere, but she regretted not preparing the ribbon showers earlier.
Wedding preparations involve a lot to do! We recommend starting preparations earlier.
Regret #4: I Forgot the Place Cards on the Day
On the wedding day, a bride forgot the place cards she had prepared at home. Luckily, she had also prepared escort cards, so she used those as substitutes, but the morning was chaotic.
You might forget other important items on the wedding day as well.
Make sure to bring items that can be delivered in advance and double-check items to bring on the day both the night before and the morning of, so you don’t forget anything!
➡ Do you have everything on the day? Confirm the checklist for items to bring the day before and on the wedding day.
Regret #5: I Should Have Made the Guest Table Decorations More Luxurious
One bride created a lovely table setting in pink.
While it looked cute, after the day was over, she regretted not making the guest table decorations more luxurious.
If the venue is large and has a high ceiling, the guest table decorations can appear small. Brides who care about their flowers might want to order slightly larger arrangements.
Regret #6: I Should Have Focused More on the Cake
One bride who provided a rough sketch for her wedding cake gave it rather carelessly, and the cake ended up looking exactly like the sketch.
During wedding preparations, you’ll have lots to think about, and it’s easy to forget things you plan to consider or communicate later.
It’s reassuring to confirm everything you want again about a month before the wedding!
Regret #7: The Bouquet’s Color Was the Same as the Coloured Dress
A bride ordered her bouquet to match her wedding bouquet.
The bouquet turned out pretty and she was satisfied, but when paired with the colored dress, it blended in and didn’t stand out at all.
She wished she had ordered a color scheme that would match both dresses.
Wedding bouquets that are the exact same color as the dress can blend in.
If you want it to stand out, consider choosing a different color or incorporating greens.
Regret #8: I Was Concerned about the Pearls on the Veil
A bride chose a wedding veil with lots of pearls because she found it extremely cute and fell in love with it. However,
when she saw the finished photos, the pearls were on her face, making it look like there was something stuck on her face, leading to regret.
If you choose a highly decorative wedding veil, keep in mind that it may cover your face.
