Have you seen "The Jungle Book"?
"The Jungle Book" is a Disney animated feature film released in 1967 in America and in 1968 in Japan.
Since Walt Disney passed away suddenly from lung cancer at the end of 1966, this film is known as the first work released after Walt's death (his posthumous work).
What is the story of The Jungle Book?
The original story of The Jungle Book is the same-named novel published in 1894 by British author Rudyard Kipling, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
The story revolves around a human baby named Mowgli, who was abandoned by a river and raised by a wolf family,
and his adventure of surviving in the jungle with the help of kind and strong animals while being attacked by a cruel tiger that hates humans.
Although the movie features many animals, the optimistic and cheerful bear Baloo is particularly popular.
He is often seen greeting guests at Adventure World in Tokyo Disneyland.
I am curious about the songs in The Jungle Book
Released as the first work after Walt's death, "The Jungle Book" yielded high box office revenue and became popular enough to be remade in live-action in 2016.
Here, I will introduce all the songs with lyrics that play in the movie via YouTube videos. Please give them a listen!
Song 1: Colonel Hathi's March
Colonel Hathi's March is a song sung by Colonel Hathi, a large elephant, and his friends while they march.
The upbeat rhythm of "1, 2, 3, 4, forward!" makes you feel like you're at a circus.
Mowgli imitating the elephants and walking on all fours is adorable too.

Song 2: The Bare Necessities
The Bare Necessities is the most famous song from The Jungle Book! It is often played in Disney parks.
It features a jazzy and fun vibe sung by Baloo the bear.
The playful lyrics that play on the words "Bare" (unadorned) and "Bear" (the animal) are also a popular reason for its appeal.

Song 6: My Own Home
My Own Home is a ballad sung by a human girl that Mowgli sees for the first time in the last scene of the movie.
