There are two types of Shika Mikiji at Kasuga Taisha in Nara.
One is a wooden carving 'Shika Mikiji' inspired by the traditional craft of Nara called "Ittobori," and,
the other is a pure white 'Shiroshika Mikiji' made of pottery♡
The initial offering fee for the Shika Mikiji is 500 yen,
while the Shiroshika Mikiji is 600 yen*
Here's what’s inside the omikuji ♩
The omikuji held by the deer is a regular omikuji*

So, it's a good idea to take lots of photos before checking the contents of the omikuji◎

This makes it very auspicious and is also said to be a "messenger of the gods"* (The Shishigami in Princess Mononoke is also a deer-like creature, right?)
