Gifts for Female Guests and Wedding Gifts for Friends Can Be Troubling..
As you reach your 20s and 30s, the regular dilemma becomes about gifts for female friends.
☑ Birthdays
☑ Engagement gifts
☑ Wedding gifts
☑ Housewarming gifts
☑ Job change gifts
☑ Wedding favors
☑ Return gifts
There are countless occasions to choose gifts.
As you approach your 30s, you have already exchanged gifts multiple times, and everyone's tastes have become refined, so you find yourself thinking, "What should I give this time...?"
So this time, I, Keiko from the marry editorial team (28 years old, living with my partner, in the third year of marriage, no children yet), will pick out gifts that I have received that made me really happy and left a lasting impression.
"This was great and memorable!"
"It's highly practical and I still use it!"
"I liked it so much that I would give the same thing to others."
The budget is around 5,000 yen.
Here are the items that made me genuinely think "This is the best!" when I received them!
Around 5,000 Yen! Wedding Favors, Presents, and Wedding Gifts That Made Me Happy ① Palace Plate
A classic gift of dishware for wedding favors and wedding gifts.
Among the dishware, I was particularly happy to receive the TY Palace Plate from the brand 1616/arita japan (Ichiroku Ichiroku/Arita Japan).
It is a large, flower-shaped white porcelain plate with lots of petals, which looks very stylish and can be used for both Western and Japanese dishes.
I received a set of two small plates (diameter 166mm, 1,500 yen), but I loved them so much that I bought the larger size (diameter 227mm, 2,500 yen) for myself.
In the mornings, I serve bread and fruit, for lunch on Sundays I use it for pasta, and at dinner, I serve everything from simmered dishes to salads.
Thanks to the matte texture of the Palace Plate, even simple meals appear stylish, which is amazing.
It's also dishwasher safe, which is a huge help!
Around 5,000 Yen! Wedding Favors, Presents, and Wedding Gifts That Made Me Happy ② Cutipol
The Cutipol cutlery set from Portugal was another gift that made me very happy.
Cutipol cutlery features functional and beautiful forms designed based on ergonomics.
The slim and delicate look of the handles is truly stylish!
It pairs perfectly with the Palace Plate mentioned earlier.
Since I replaced my dishes and cutlery with this from 100 yen shops, our ordinary home-cooked meals now feel much more refined...!
The Cutipol cutlery set is a pair set of dinner fork and tablespoon priced at 5,274 yen (tax included).
Each piece is over 1,000 yen, so it’s not something one would collect unless they have a particular interest in cutlery.
I believe it would definitely be appreciated as a gift♡

Around 5,000 Yen! Wedding Favors, Presents, and Wedding Gifts That Made Me Happy ③ Noda Horo
The Noda Horo enamel baking dish that I received as a wedding gift has become an essential item for our household that prepares meals in batches on weekends.
Noda Horo is a long-established brand specializing in enamelware with over 70 years of history, known for its simple appearance and practicality.
Here are the points I love about it:
☑ Stylish enough to go straight to the dining table
☑ Heat-resistant
☑ Oven safe
☑ Dishwasher safe (only the main body)
The only drawback is that it can't be used in the microwave, but it has practicality that outweighs that.
I used to store food in Tupperware and warm it up each time for serving, but with Noda Horo, it can be used both as a storage container and a serving dish, so I can take it directly from the refrigerator, put it on the heat, and serve at the table.
If it looks this stylish even without being a plate, that's just perfect.
It also reduces the hassle of cleaning up, which is fantastic!
I liked it so much that I gifted it to my mother for her birthday, and she was very pleased.
The price ranges from around 4,000 to 10,000 yen depending on the set.
Around 5,000 Yen! Wedding Favors, Presents, and Wedding Gifts That Made Me Happy ④ iwaki
Another popular storage container alongside Noda Horo is the heat-resistant glass container from iwaki. iwaki is a company based in Shizuoka Prefecture specializing in glass products.
It’s an item that I've been curious about since many home cooks on Instagram use it, and when my friend asked me what I wanted, I requested it.
(It was also easy to request since it wasn't that expensive.)
What I like about it is:
☑ Stylish enough to go straight to the dining table
☑ Microwave safe
☑ Oven safe
☑ Dishwasher safe (both lid and body)
☑ Difficult for odors and colors to stick
☑ Stacking in the fridge allows you to see the contents
Since it’s microwave safe, I differentiate my usage with Noda Horo, which is heat-safe.
Prices vary depending on the content of the set, starting from around 3,000 yen.
It’s great that you can easily buy more if you like it.

Around 5,000 Yen! Wedding Favors, Presents, and Wedding Gifts That Made Me Happy ⑤ Kähler
The item that delighted me in decorative goods was a Kähler vase.
Kähler, established in 1839, is a historic Danish pottery manufacturer.
Its handmade, uneven striped pattern is captivating.
While my house doesn’t usually have the habit of displaying flowers, I like having it as decor even without flowers.
After the wedding, I had it on display with preserved flowers for a while.
I received the S size. It’s small and easy to display on the table.
If the family often decorates with flowers, the M size or larger might be better.
☑ S size approximately W80 × H125mm, about 3,000 yen
☑ M size approximately W162 × H198mm, about 5,000 yen
☑ L size approximately W185 × H305mm, about 8,000 yen
