Why is it called "Onorokemame"?
"Onorokemame" is such an interesting name.
Nowadays, due to advancements in manufacturing, it is rarely seen, but in the past, during the process of coating, the soy sauce would cause the individual pieces to stick together.
It is said that because they looked like they were happily sticking together, they were called "Onorokemame" (御惚気豆).

The rice cracker "Onorokemame" is named for how well the pieces stick together.
There is a store that sells "Onorokemame" in chic small bags, perfect for little gifts.
That store is the long-established Japanese sweets shop "Nihonbashi Eitaro," which has been around since the Edo period.
"Nihonbashi Eitaro" sells bean confections and karintou for 200 yen (excluding tax) per bag. ♡
The small bag features a stylish package with a mark of "e," through which you can see a bit of the contents. The tag for "Onorokemame" is accented with a heart illustration.
"Nihonbashi Eitaro" has stores nationwide, including in Ito-Yokado and department stores, so brides outside of Tokyo can also get their hands on it.
