《How to Make Room Key Style Place Cards》

～What You Need～

Here are the materials for the room key style place cards＊

☑ Semi-transparent plastic sheets from Seria: 100 yen each (B5 size, can make about 4-5 pieces from one sheet)

➡ If there's no Seria nearby, they are also available on Rakuten for around 100 yen＊

☑ Mitsubishi paint marker in gold: about 200 yen

☑ Tassels or ribbons to attach: about 10 yen each

(If making tassels, it's recommended to attach them to a jump ring)

Even if you make enough for 80 people, it will be around 3,000 yen. You can create each one for less than 50 yen ♡

～Steps to Make～

① Cut the plastic sheet to the desired size. The plastic sheet shrinks to about half when baked in a toaster, so think of it being double the size you want to end up with ♩

It’s recommended to test several times to determine the size＊

Make the left side of the end look like a hotel room key tag shape and punch holes for the tassels or ribbons.

② Write the guest’s name on the plastic sheet. Since it’s semi-transparent, you can pre-print the guest's name on word and trace it over with the plastic sheet to get a neat result＊

③ Bake the plastic sheet in the oven. The heating time is about 45 seconds to 1 and a half minutes. There are heating times and precautions written on the back of the plastic sheet's bag, so make sure to follow them to bake safely without burns ◎

④ Once the plastic sheet has shrunk, take it out of the oven, place a cooking sheet on top and put a magazine or other weights on it to keep it straight.

⑤ After it cools down, attach the tassels or ribbons to the holes, and it’s done! ♩
