Soon it's Children's Day! ♡

May 5th is Children's Day.

It's a national holiday to pray for the growth of boys, but what I want to challenge is the "Koinobori Cake"!

It looks cute, and surprisingly, the way to make it is quite simple.

Whether you have children or not, or whether your child is a boy or a girl, it's an interesting-looking cake that makes you want to give it a try, so here it is! ♡

【Amazing】Transforming Pound Cake into Koi Shape!

First, let me introduce you to the Koinobori Cake, which involves slightly altering the shape of a pound cake to create a koi's tail fin when baking.

By slightly denting a rectangular aluminum pound cake mold to create a tail fin, it becomes koi-shaped!

(Isn't that an amazing discovery!?)

Once baked and cooled, you can finish it off by drawing eyes and scales with chocolate pens or icing.

There's no need to use a mold or cut the sponge into koi shapes, and you can easily make a Koinobori-shaped cake!*

Other Variations!

Besides the Koinobori-shaped pound cake, other sweets with a Koinobori motif for Children's Day include:

☑ A roll cake made by creating scales with strawberries or fruits

☑ Sandwiches shaped like Koinobori

is also a classic.

Decorating desserts like tiramisu or scoop desserts in deep containers with Koinobori decorations is also a cute idea ♩

(For those who are a bit lazy, how about just placing strawberries on top of a Costco tiramisu box to turn it into a Koinobori...!)

Enjoying Seasonal Events ♡

I introduced the recipe and ideas for the Koinobori Cake that I want to make and eat on Children's Day! ♡

Even though it's a holiday called "Children's Day," whether you have children or not, enjoying seasonal events is the best! ♡

Make and eat cute sweets and dishes, and enjoy the events with your beloved partner ♩
