"I Want a Bouquet with Flowers Visible from the Front! Tips for Ordering a Bouquet at the Florist"
2019.07.02 published
Bouquets are hard to photograph.
My husband is the type who gives me flowers often, even for small anniversaries.
He usually makes and buys a bouquet from a nearby flower shop, but every time, I've had a thought...
"Bouquets are hard to photograph!!"
Do you understand?
Are there any of you who can relate??
What I mean is...
Bouquets are wrapped in paper all around, so you can only see the flowers from the top.
In such cases, if I try to take a photo of just the flowers from above, it ends up looking like this.
Or something like this.
It doesn't really convey the "bouquet feel," right?
When I try to take a photo of something placed on a table along with this kind of wrapped bouquet, it turns out like this.
I feel bad for the flowers when I lay the bouquet down like this...
I want to take photos like this!
When I think of bouquets, I feel this is the kind of image that comes to mind, don’t you think?
You can see the flowers from any angle, and there’s wrapping paper around it. Since childhood, this has been my image of a bouquet.
Bouquets that are completely wrapped in paper seem like they would protect the flowers, but I feel like I'm missing out because you can't see the flowers at all...
So I want to get creative!
So if I'm going to buy a bouquet, I really want to have one that allows the flowers to be seen properly even while wrapped.
I’ve been wondering why the bouquets my husband brings home are different from the ones you see on Instagram that allow you to see the flowers properly from the front... Recently, I realized the difference and wanted to sort it out in this article.
Tips for showcasing bouquet flowers ①
<Use transparent wrapping paper!>
Using transparent wrapping paper solves the problem 100%.
The issue is that when you wrap the flowers entirely with paper, the surface area where the flowers can be seen from the top is reduced, but at least it allows "visibility of the flowers from the side."
Tips for showcasing bouquet flowers ➁
<No wrapping paper on the flowers!>
This is a wrapping method where no paper is wrapped around the flower part.
This bouquet was prepared by everyone at marry to celebrate the company’s 3rd anniversary, and I was happy that even when laid down and photographed from above, the flowers were clearly visible.
Even when holding it, the flowers were clearly visible, and I felt like I was "walking with flowers"! ♡ Bouquets like this are really cute! ♡
Just like this other bouquet, using transparent wrapping paper at the front without colored regular wrapping paper allows the flowers to be seen from the front. ♡
While having the wrapping paper completely around provides protection to the flowers, making it safer when bringing them home, there’s a paradox where the flowers end up being hidden.
I wish that when I receive flowers, I wouldn’t have to take crowded trains and could just walk or take a taxi home...!
Next time I order a bouquet!
From now on, when I ask for a bouquet from a florist, I’m definitely going to say, "Please make sure the flowers can be seen properly from the front!"
That way, it’s cuter, I can take better photos, and I feel like the flowers will be happier too! ♡
