First, the packaging is stylish!

KOUJIYA is a family-run sake shop in Miema Town, Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture, with three generations of history.

The store was started by the grandfather, and now it is run by the third generation, Yudai Takayama, together with his wife.

Yudai Takayama and Miku Shiratori, who previously lived in Tokyo as a musician and apparel designer, respectively, made a U-turn in 2015 to develop KOUJIYA when their child was born.

While Yudai, who was working in the food and beverage industry, creates products, Miku, who used to be a designer for ROSEBUD, designs the packaging... they run the business together as a couple in unison ♡

KOUJIYA's Instagram features stylish-looking products, and occasionally includes pictures of the couple and their adorable son, making it a joy to watch＊

Stylish Gifts of Miema Rice ♡

Miema Town in Uwajima City, where the shop is located, has been a rice-producing region since the Yayoi period. The rice known as "Mimamai" is renowned locally for its deliciousness, but it lacks national recognition.

KOUJIYA is also promoting a brand called "MIMARICE" to spread the word about this incredibly delicious rice, believing it is a waste to keep such great rice confined to the region!＊

This MIMARICE is available as a set of two bags of 750g each for 3000 yen.

With its perfect appearance and price for gifts, they are currently crowdfunding to create a 150g product for more casual gifting, wrapped in this adorable lip-shaped bag.
