This stylish alcohol is made by mitosaya Herb Garden Distillery located in Otaki, Chiba Prefecture.

There was originally a botanical garden specializing in herbs here, but it closed in 2015.

After studying distillation techniques in Germany, Mr. Eguchi, the representative of mitosaya, began this distillery in 2018, renting land from Otaki town to create distilled spirits from fruits and plants.

They received an astonishing 16.91 million yen in support through crowdfunding, surpassing their goal of 10 million yen. (That's amazing!)

They handcraft brandy that richly brings out the aromas and flavors of fruits and plants, known in Japan as botanical brandy ♩

Everything Looks Delicious＊

mitosaya's flagship product is a series of brandies called Eau de vie ♩

“ALL MIKAN,” which uses whole Satsuma mandarins.

“Chocomin,” which adds a refreshing minty taste to the bittersweet chocolate.

“KAWAJIMA FIG,” which is made with figs.

There are many varieties available＊

Prices range from 1,800 to 2,200 yen for 100ml and 8,000 to 9,200 yen for 500ml.

The alcohol content is between 44% and 46%.
