It seems that "beeswax wrap" is trending *
To live an environmentally friendly and thoughtful life by using items that are reusable and can be used repeatedly rather than disposable ones ♡
Recently, it has been said that the lifestyle item "beeswax wrap", born in Europe, is also becoming popular in Japan! *
Did you know???
"Beeswax wrap" is made by applying beeswax (wax produced by bees) to cloths like furoshiki, and it's similar to natural wax paper.
Since it repels water, it’s common to use it to wrap vegetables or sandwiches as a substitute for plastic wrap! *
Be careful as it uses wax that can melt with heat, so it can’t be used for warm items or put in the microwave.
When washing, it's okay to just rinse off the dirt with lukewarm water.
Many people say that if you take care of it, you can reuse a piece for about half a year to a year.
It is also referred to as "eco wrap" or "bee eco wrap", and it is gaining attention ♡
You can make it with your favorite fabric patterns, which is great because it adds a cheerful touch to your kitchen! ♡ While ready-made products are also sold, it's fun to make your own with your favorite designs! Beeswax wrap-making workshops seem to be held in various places too! *
