What to Do If You Cry the Day Before Your Wedding: Tips to Prevent Puffy Eyes the Next Morning
2020.11.27 published
The day before, you might end up crying...
I think everyone has experienced this at least once, but the eyes the day after crying are just so puffy, right...!
The eyelids become heavy, and in severe cases, they look like you've been stung by a bee.
The size of each eye might be different.
One eye might end up looking strangely single-lidded.
Moreover, the worst part is that it takes time to return to the usual look, and applying makeup becomes difficult...
Such eye puffiness.
It's often said that to avoid arriving at the wedding day in such a condition, "the bride should write her letter (because she might cry tears of joy) the day before,"
But even so, you might end up crying on the eve of the wedding for an unexpected reason.
The first thing I recommend is to alternate between a hot towel (heated in the microwave) and a cold towel (cooled with water) on your eyes every three minutes.
(It's also okay to wrap a cold pack in a towel and use it as a cold towel.)
This helps improve blood circulation and minimizes eye puffiness. ♩
Soaking cotton pads in toner and placing them around the eyes is also recommended. Leave them on for about 5 minutes.
Ideally, keep the toner cold by placing the entire bottle in the refrigerator beforehand to lower the temperature a bit. *
(Be careful not to make it too cold, as it may increase redness!)
Tip 3: Soak in a bathtub
Taking a bath is important too. *
Warm up your body to improve blood flow, and it would be great to gently rotate your neck or massage around your collarbone while enjoying the bath.
Tip 4: Massage the eye area
After applying the hot towel or toner pack, be sure to massage around the eyes. *
After applying serum or cream,
① Gently massage from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eyes, moving towards the temples, using a gentle pressure similar to acupressure.
② Apply firm pressure at the temples for about 3 seconds (about 5 times).
③ Similarly, massage the lower area of the eyes from the inner corner to the outer corner, reaching the temples.
That’s the flow.
Avoid applying too much pressure. *
Additionally, it’s recommended to repeatedly squeeze your eyes tightly and then open them. This is said to help improve blood flow in the capillaries around the eyes.

Just in case you cry the day before your wedding.
I’ve shared things you can do to prevent puffy eyes the next day. *
These are reactive measures, but of course, if tears start to flow, be careful not to rub your eyes with your hands or wipe them with a handkerchief or tissue!
