A Love-Binding Amulet in Collaboration with Okayama Lace ♡
Hanamatomori is a collaborative amulet with the lace products company "Okayama Lace" located in Akaiwa City, Okayama Prefecture*
A collaboration amulet between a lace company and a shrine is probably a first in Japan...?
It has a look similar to a lace bracelet, with flowers inspired by "Achi no Fuji," a designated natural monument of the prefecture located within Achi Shrine.
It contains a prayer for "binding connections as thick and long as a crane's neck" ♡
There are four colors available, including three sold year-round and one seasonal limited color, offered all the time*
Year-round color: Kohi (Pink)
Year-round color: Akanesasu (Lavender)
Year-round color: Fujinami (Light Pink)
Spring limited color (March to May): Sawarabi (Green)
Summer limited color (June to August): Watatsumi (Blue)
Autumn limited color (September to November): Momijihana (Yellow)
Winter limited color (December to January): Yogoto (White)
The names of each color are taken from the "Manyoshu" (Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves) ♡
How Do You Wear It?
The way to wear Hanamatomori is taught by Achi Shrine's official Instagram ♡
① The simplest method! Just wrap it around quickly and easily*
② Insert the heart-shaped crest at the tip into the hole of the string*
③ Have someone tie a bow for you* (It is said that the shrine's priestesses wear it this way, too ♡)
