Discovery of a Wonderful Amulet ♡

I discovered a wonderful amulet at "Koyama-ji," the 74th temple of the 88 Shikoku pilgrimage sites located in Kagawa Prefecture.

It is called "Sowaka-mamoru."

At first glance, it appears to be an ordinary amulet with a drawing of a rabbit, but...

It is a new type of amulet that has never been seen before.

You Can Write Your Own Wish ♡

This Sowaka-mamoru is an amulet "for fulfilling the wishes of each individual." You can write your wish on the "wish tag" included with the amulet and pray for its realization while tying the string with the wish in your heart.

It has never been done before to write your own wish and place it inside an amulet, has it?*

The "Sowaka" in Sowaka-mamoru is a sacred word used in sutras, and simply chanting it with sincerity purifies the heart and has the power to fulfill your desires♡

It's wonderful to think that just by chanting, you can find happiness. It’s a phrase that I want to keep cherished deep in my heart.

The Rabbit Has Meaning*

Koyama-ji is affectionately known as "Usagi-dera" (Rabbit Temple) and has a connection to rabbits.

For the healing Buddha, Yakushi Nyorai, to fully demonstrate his powers, the strength of the Sunlight and Moonlight Bodhisattvas and the Twelve Guardian Generals (the twelve zodiac signs) is needed.

Among them, the Moonlight Bodhisattva holds the moon in his left hand, and a rabbit is depicted within that moon, which led Koyama-ji to enshrine rabbits everywhere.

Rabbits symbolize "leaping forward" due to their hopping nature, as well as "progeny" and "prosperity" due to their high reproduction rate.

The auspicious and cute rabbit themed "Sowaka-mamoru" makes you want to treasure it forever♩

Curious About Koyama-ji's "Sowaka-mamoru" ♡

The "Sowaka-mamoru" allows you to write your wish and place it inside the amulet. It's such a wonderful amulet that has never been seen before*

(It seems that an amulet where you can write your own wish might have more benefits than a generic one for love or fortune...!?)

The Sowaka-mamoru from Koyama-ji costs 800 yen each.

It can also be received by mail*

(For mail orders, you can get more details by sending an email with your name and phone number. Email address: koyamaji@themis.ocn.ne.jp)
