Recently, I've come across some idea-rich and creatively designed wedding place cards＊

Among them, I discovered a stylish place card that looks just like real marble! However, it’s not made from marble, so I’d like to share it with you♡

It’s a Clay Stone Place Card＊

Here is the Clay Stone Place Card＊

Clay stone is made from powdered stone and is also known as stone clay (石塑) or stone powder clay (石粉粘土).

When dried, it takes on a unique texture similar to pottery, so many people create handmade items like accessories, brooches, and chopstick rests with it.

(At first glance, it doesn’t even look like clay!)

How is the Marble-Like Pattern Made?

But how is that white and gray marble pattern achieved....??

The method used by @asu_wd_pink in this photo follows this flow＊

1. Mix some black paint into the stone powder clay to create black clay.

2. Combine it with the remaining clay and roll it out until it’s well blended.

3. Use a round cookie cutter to shape it.

4. Apply gold paint to an alphabet stamp and press guest names onto the surface.

5. Use a straw to make holes for threading.

6. Let it dry.

There’s no complicated process involved, and it’s amazing that you can create stylish marble-like clay stone with this procedure.

It makes me feel like I might be able to do it too...! Just a little spark of hope formed♡
