Familiar Flowers: A Stylish Collection of Wedding Inspirations Featuring Dogwood Blooms♡
2020.05.15 published
I was moved by its beauty.
The spring of 2020 ended without being able to enjoy the cherry blossoms at all due to the stay-at-home order.
Around mid-April.
I thought, “All the cherry blossoms must have fallen already,” and feeling a bit depressed, I stepped outside, only to find the dogwoods blooming splendidly.
They were so beautiful that they looked like snow had piled up on the trees.
The gentle blue sky of spring and the refreshing whiteness of the snow-like dogwood were so dazzling to my weighed-down heart that I believe I will never forget this moving scene and the emotions it stirred in me.
I had never really thought about it before, but dogwood flowers are quite cute in shape.
(Actually, it turns out these are not flowers, but leaves...!!!)
The four leaves, which look like elongated petals with the tips playfully curled back, appear stylish, and
I thought, “I want to create dresses and accessories themed around dogwoods next♡.”
In Japan, the song by Hitoto Yo is famous regarding dogwoods, so I personally had a somewhat negative image of “heartbreak” or “unfulfilled love.” However, when I looked it up, I found that dogwoods do not carry such negative meanings in their flower language.
Words like “brilliant love,” “please accept my feelings,” and “permanence,” all had lovely meanings.
It might be nice to use them at weddings too!♡
I thought it would be wonderful to use dogwoods as wedding decorations, so I searched for images and found several wedding photos from abroad that featured dogwoods.*
In this article, I will introduce those images!♡
