While I don't want to throw away the O-shugi bags I received from guests, I admit that I feel it's "too difficult" and "there's no place to display them."
After holding onto the O-shugi bags for a while after the wedding, I might end up not doing anything with them.
(I am one of those who graduated four years ago...)
Finally, I found a wonderful idea that makes me want to take action!
Making a "Sekku Board" with Mizuhiki is Lovely!
It's a simple Sekku board made with Mizuhiki ♡
It's an art board inspired by Hina dolls and kabuto helmets.
"Sekku" refers to ancient Chinese calendars, a culture that was passed to Japan during the Nara period.
The most common ones are "Hinamatsuri" on March 3rd and "Tango no Sekku" on May 5th.
Each is celebrated as Hina Festival and Children's Day in various households.
Traditionally, Hina dolls are displayed for Hinamatsuri, while kabuto helmets are displayed for Children's Day.
However, many households may not have space for large decorations.
With a Sekku board, you can stylishly and simply enjoy the season!
A Sekku Board Allows You to Remember Your Wedding Every Year♡
Creating a Sekku board from the Mizuhiki you received at your wedding is really lovely.
Since Sekku comes every year, it would remind you of your wedding each time.
Unlike a large art board, you won't be able to use Mizuhiki from all guests.
However, it may become something irreplaceable as a symbol of blessings from all guests, rather than just "Mizuhiki from Mr./Ms. XX."
