What does your husband do with shoes on rainy days???
Does he wear the same shoes as on sunny days...??
My husband has always worn regular shoes (sneakers) on rainy days, and each time he ends up soaking wet, which bothers me a lot....
Getting your socks soaking wet from the rain makes you feel really unfortunate, doesn't it?
When he arrives at work, it must be uncomfortable to be wet all day, and it probably smells too.....!
As for me, I have been wearing rubber rain shoes on rainy days for many years.
It’s the rainy season with lots of rainy days, and I hear my husband say, "My shoes are soaked again today..." and it suddenly hit me, "Rain shoes are amazing! I don’t have to worry about getting wet, how easy is that!!!"
<So!>
By the way, I wondered if there are men's rain shoes...?? After searching, I found a few, so let me introduce them ♩
I didn’t have much knowledge about men’s brands, but I thought, I had given him an umbrella a few times, but I should have bought him rain boots as a set much earlier!
Men's Rain Shoes Brands
1. Hunter
Speaking of boots, Hunter is the go-to brand. Everyone has been wearing them in winter for over ten years now.
It seems to be a "classic in boots" and a traditional rubber boot brand favored by the British royal family.
They sell not only tall boots but also short rain shoes.
Since it’s a major brand, there is a wide variety and size options. There were designs without the Hunter logo and types that look like wooden soles.
2. Mackintosh London
Mackintosh London is also a representative British brand, much like Hunter.
It has a classic British traditional taste, sophisticated yet slightly modern for adults... and the prices are a bit higher than Hunter.
(Hunter is around 10,000 to 20,000 yen, while Mackintosh London seems to be about 20,000 yen.)
The image seems to be that smart and stylish men choose it.
(Like this!)
Personally, I think, "It’s cool and stylish, and I admire it, and I wish my husband would nonchalantly choose and wear something like this, but it probably doesn't match his style..." Such a man would be really wonderful.
There were also loafer types for men who wear suits. Rain loafers are amazing, aren’t they?
However, when I looked at the official site, there are only three size options, so be careful. (Sizes are 25.5, 26.5, and 27.5.)
3. Converse
I was surprised to learn that Converse has rain shoes!
If you like casual fashion, these seem just right.
When I showed them to everyone at marry, they particularly praised the white ones for not looking too rubbery at all!
Of course, there are also women’s versions, so it’s nice that you can both wear matching pairs on rainy days. They also have sizes up to 30cm.
4. Regal
Regal also has rain shoes.
For men who usually wear Regal for work shoes, it offers a sense of ease in choosing.
I bought this!
I’m not very fashion-savvy, so when I searched a little, I found many brands I didn't know about and thought, "Oh no, I can’t decide...!"
In this article, I researched men's rain shoes from my perspective and tried to grasp their features, picking out those I thought my husband might like...
My husband has big feet, so I chose the Hunter’s logo-less side gore boots, which have a size of 29cm.
Many women wear rain shoes on rainy days, but I realized I hardly ever see men wearing rain shoes... I should have noticed and gotten them earlier...! I feel happy thinking that now he can go out without worrying about wet feet on rainy and snowy days.
It feels like I’ve liberated my husband from the stress and burden of having to live carefully on rainy days to avoid getting wet, making me feel like a hero!
If any of your husbands don’t have rain shoes, definitely consider it! (And if you don’t have a pair, you should consider that too!)
