Charming Flower with a Race-like Shape: The Gentle and Cute Scabiosa!
2020.12.07 published
My Favorite Flower Recently♡
In April, there are tulips and sweet peas♡ In May and June, it's peonies.
The flowers available at florists change with the seasons, but right now, among the flowers in bloom at the florist, the one I find particularly cute is the flower called 【Scabiosa】*
<This is Scabiosa♡>
The colors are mainly white and a faint purple. The petals are frilly and crinkly, giving a lace-like vibe♡
The twisty and curvy way the thin stems bend is cute and dynamic, and its transparency is lovely♡
Its other name is Matsumushi-sou. It's the Matsumushi from the song "Ah, the Matsumushi is chirping~♩."
This flower blooms in the season when the Matsumushi chirps (from the end of summer to autumn)*
Arranging it this way is stylish♡
Scabiosa looks wonderful on its own as a single bouquet, but it also pairs well as a secondary flower in various flower arrangements◎
It adds a pure and unique touch while blending in beautifully, giving a lovely presence♩
Here are some stylish flower arrangements featuring Scabiosa that I found on Instagram♡
【1】
A combination of green, orange, and white flowers♡
【2】
Paired with sweet flowers like gypsophila and lisianthus♡ The addition of the spiky "Eryngium" is stylish♩
【3】
Combining Scabiosa with elegant flowers like white roses and orchids brings a chic sense of lightness.
【4】
A girly combination of pastel-colored flowers♡ Such as roses, carnations, lisianthus, and marguerite*
It's an arrangement that lifts your mood♩
【5】
Combining green with white Scabiosa* This mini bouquet evokes a crown of clover flowers picked straight from the field*
【6】
Tropical yet elegant. I love the combination of pink, purple, and green♡
It feels refined, while the gentle shape of Scabiosa adds femininity♩
【7】
Paired with lisianthus, carnations, and statice.
It's a bouquet filled with frilly flowers♡
Artificial flowers can be nice too*
The round and frilly Scabiosa flowers.
Of course, fresh flowers are incredibly cute, but when I recently went shopping for artificial flowers at East Side Tokyo, I found that the artificial ones looked great too, making me love Scabiosa even more*
Naturally, since they are artificial flowers, they don't have the ephemeral quality or softness of fresh flowers, but the sturdy ruffles provide a sense of stability.
The Scabiosa sold at East Side Tokyo had stems that didn't look overly artificial and had a high level of quality, looking quite real*
Many artificial flower bouquets have a distinct "this is artificial!" vibe, but I felt like this one might be acceptable♩
Let's remember the flower called “Scabiosa”♡
