"Self-Fill Water," a service by Muji that started in July 2020 and has been making waves.

Many of you may have heard about it or seen it at a nearby Muji store!

Free Water Refills

With the introduction of paid plastic bags, reducing plastic waste has become a global issue.

Muji has focused on "reducing PET bottles" and has started the "Self-Fill Water" service, installing water refill stations in Muji stores nationwide to provide water.

Self-Fill Water is available for **free** and can be used by anyone!

(The water used is tap water that has been filtered.)

Socially, this helps reduce PET bottles and personally, it saves money since you don't have to buy PET bottles—it's a wonderful service that makes you want to shout, "Thank you, Muji!!" ♡

Currently, it is not available in all Muji stores, but there are plans for gradual expansion. We can't wait for it to be available near our homes or offices!

Self-Fill Water bottles are also on sale, and they are drawing attention for their convenience!

(You can also refill your own PET bottles or tumblers!)

There's an App Too ♡

There is a convenient app for self-fill water, which includes:

✅ Viewing refill points

(You can see public refill points aside from Muji!)

✅ Displaying refill volume, amount of PET bottles reduced, and CO2 reduction

These functions are available!

(You can search for refill points near your location!)

When you fill water at the refill point, you can set the volume and press the button (options are 330ml, 500ml, or a custom volume).

You will see how much PET bottles and CO2 have been reduced!

The history feature allows you to see how much water you have refilled in total and how many PET bottles and CO2 have been reduced.

Rather than using it aimlessly, you can check how much you've saved, which makes you want to use it more! ♡
