These Chopsticks Are Stylish ♩

The other day, while shopping at Mitsukoshi in Ginza, I came across some lovely chopsticks ♡

These are transparent chopsticks with gold leaf inside ♡

I have all Western-style tableware at home, but...

(I don't own any Arita or Kutani ware yet)

I always thought, "I don't know if ordinary lacquered chopsticks that look traditionally Japanese would match my white lace-patterned plates or Royal Copenhagen dishes... They might feel a bit out of place..."

But with these sparkling clear chopsticks, they seem like they would go well with Western tableware, bright white plates, and even glass dishes, blending in naturally without any awkwardness.

They are wonderful for both summer and winter, not too heavy, and they seem just right for casual use at home! So, I’m really interested in these products right now ♡

Actually, these chopsticks are from Hakuichi, a company famous for its gold leaf in Kanazawa.

It’s the same place known for the soft serve ice cream topped with a sheet of gold leaf, a popular spot during trips to Kanazawa＊

Hakuichi is Japan’s (and surely the world’s) leading specialist in gold leaf. Their motto is to "inherit the traditional craftsmanship that is the foundation of our heritage while adapting to modern lifestyles."

These chopsticks, being clear and featuring gold leaf, are exactly the kind of innovative product that embodies that motto ♡

There Are Two Colors＊

Hakuichi's clear chopsticks come in two colors: silver and gold.

There are several patterns, including pinecone patterns and ones that seem to have gold threads embedded.

Since they are made of acrylic, they feel a bit lighter than regular chopsticks, which is something I’m slightly concerned about...
