Traditional Craft Paper Plates...?
Recently, there are many cute designs available even for paper plates...
However, I bet you haven't seen this pattern before.
This is the paper plate made in the style of "Kutani ware"!
Kutani ware is a traditional craft that has a history of over 360 years, originating from Ishikawa Prefecture (Kanazawa City, Komatsu City, Kaga City, Nomi City) since the early Edo period.
It uses paints called "Kutani Goshiki" in green, yellow, purple, cobalt blue, and red, and is characterized by its colorful and delicate patterns.
The idea of turning such a traditional craft as Kutani ware into paper plates is simply innovative...!
There are 6 varieties of Kutani ware paper plate designs*
The paper plates designed by the design company "Yoshita Design Planning" based in Ishikawa Prefecture feature 6 designs recognized as "masterpieces" among Kutani ware.

A work in the blue hand style from "Matsuyama Kiln," the official kiln for the Maeda family of Daishoji domain and one of the revived Kutani kilns. It realistically depicts small birds frolicking with turnips enclosed by glaze.
5. "Matsumoto Sapei (Left Bottle) Color Painting of Ushiwaka and Benkei Deep Bowl" Mid to Late Meiji period

It seems great not only for outdoor events and when guests come, but also would add a touch of elegance to New Year's dishes as well♡
I think using paper plates at home isn't very common, but...
The Kutani ware paper plates have a luxurious feel and would be suitable when guests come.
(Especially, they seem very useful for home parties ♡ While plain white or printed paper plates have a cheap feel, these look like real Kutani ware plates at first glance, and they would definitely spark some conversation.)
