"Always Dreaming of an Engagement Ring: A Heartwarming Tale of My Friend Who Preserved Her Left Ring Finger's Virginity Until the Very End"

A Wonderful Story about Engagement Rings ♡
The other day, I had dinner with a friend who just got engaged*
She was wearing a beautiful engagement ring, so I asked, “It’s so cute and lovely! Did you get it from your boyfriend or did you choose it yourself?”
She replied, “Actually, I got to choose my engagement ring! Let me share the story…” and her experience was so wonderful that I want to share it with you ♡
I’ve always wanted to wear a ring on my ring finger.
“Actually, I’ve had a long-standing admiration for engagement rings!
My mother’s engagement ring is so beautiful, and I always watched her wear it with care on special occasions. I always thought that one day I would receive an engagement ring from someone I love…!
I made sure never to wear fashion rings or couple rings on my left ring finger, protecting its virginity for a long time.
So when my boyfriend said, ‘Let’s go choose an engagement ring together,’ I didn’t want to randomly try on different rings at various stores.
I knew they would definitely ask if I wanted to try anything on when I went to the store, so I requested catalogs from various brands and decided on a design that stood out to me from those options ♡
People are often surprised when I say this, but I never tried on the ring even once. I just knew it was ‘the one,’ so when we went to buy it, I only had them measure my size and didn’t try it on.”
How did you receive the ring?
“I really wanted him to propose with a ring in a box! (He apparently proposed with a bouquet and suggested they go choose the ring together.)
So, I asked him to pick up the finished ring and wanted him to give it to me almost like a second proposal ♡
(He proposed again at the chapel where we plan to have our wedding! I’m so envious…! ♡)
I made quite a few selfish requests to him, but I was genuinely happy because I’ve been protecting my left ring finger all this time!
I briefly thought about wanting to go around various stores together and try on different rings, but that feeling was overshadowed by my desire not to wear various rings on the left ring finger that I’ve held so dear.
When he proposed again, it was the first time I ever wore a ring on my left ring finger, and I truly felt, ‘We are really going to get married…’ I thought to myself that I was so glad I kept it special! ♡”
The left ring finger is exclusively for the engagement ring ♡
I heard this happy story from my friend ♡
Before I got married, I also refrained from wearing couple or fashion rings on my left ring finger (I was aware of the superstition about delaying marriage, so I kept that in mind…).
However, I didn’t have the same perspective as my friend, so when I went to look at engagement rings with my husband, I casually tried on various rings.
But hearing this story made me realize that my left ring finger has always been special. Instead of casually breaking the rule, I think it’s nice to have a commitment like my friend’s where she dedicates her left ring finger exclusively to her chosen engagement ring.
I believe my friend's husband must have felt so happy seeing such pure intentions in her ♡
Going to try on many rings together and finding a favorite one is a fun and memorable time, but I also think it’s really wonderful to do thorough research and have him put on the engagement ring that you’ve chosen carefully ♡
