Flowers That Look Like Cherry Blossoms*

Have you ever seen this flower that looks like a cherry blossom...?

This flower is a delphinium.

It's a cute variety called "Sakurahime" ♡

When you think of delphiniums, you might picture blue flowers, but...

There are also pink delphiniums! ♡

A Delphinium Developed in Ehime Prefecture Over 11 Years ♡

This pink delphinium "Sakurahime" was developed by the Ehime Prefectural Agricultural and Fisheries Research Institute over 11 years.

Its pale pink color resembling cherry blossoms is marked by green spots*

Regular delphiniums have the following features:

✅ The flower color is blue

✅ The stem is thicker

✅ There is a spur (the protruding part above the flower)

✅ They bloom sideways

However,

Sakurahime has been developed with the following features:

✅ The flower color is cherry blossom-like pink

✅ The stem is thinner

✅ There is no spur (the protruding part above the flower)

✅ They bloom upwards

It's a look that you wouldn't recognize as "delphinium" unless someone told you!*

The flower language includes "delicate maiden," "smiling at you (love smile)," and "hope."

The shipping season for the flowers is from late December to around June. It's a recommended flower for winter and spring brides! ♡

Cute in Bouquets ♡

The wedding bouquet I had prepared for my wedding included "Sakurahime," and it was so cute as the petals swayed gently whenever I moved! ♡

It's wonderful when paired with structured flowers like calla lilies and roses, and it also seems to fit well in a natural bouquet focused on small flowers*

A Flower Variety to Remember: "Sakurahime" ♡

The new delphinium variety "Sakurahime," which looks like cherry blossoms, really resembles cherry blossoms at first glance!*

Real cherry blossom bouquets can be painful to hold as they're made of branches, and depending on the branches, they might have fewer flowers, making it difficult to achieve a "full cherry blossom" look.

However, with Sakurahime, you might just be able to create a full cherry blossom bouquet…! The dream expands! ♡
