I Want to Send the Wedding Video to the Bride!
Recently, I attended a friend's wedding.
I took a lot of pictures and videos, and when I tried to send them all via LINE that day...
I couldn't send any videos longer than 5 minutes.... 😭
The videos taken during the profile movie, the first bite, and the bride's letter easily exceeded 5 minutes, so I decided to look for other methods.
I wondered if there was an easy way to send long videos outside of LINE...?? After researching, I thought I'd summarize the results in this article.
Method 1 for Sending Long Videos: Google Photos
First, let's start with Google Photos, a popular backup service for photos and videos.
<How to Send Videos>
① Upload the video to Google Photos.
② Click on this icon at the bottom left of the screen.
③ Press the "Create Link" button from the displayed menu.
④ Once the link is created, the URL link will be copied, so send it directly via LINE.
Method 2 for Sending Long Videos: Dropbox
Dropbox is also a standard service for data sharing.
<How to Send Videos>
① First, upload the video to Dropbox.
② Once uploaded, open the video and click the paperclip icon at the top right.
③ A link will be automatically created and copied, so send it directly via LINE.
Method 3 for Sending Long Videos: Send Anywhere
While not as famous as Google Photos and Dropbox, there is also a service called Send Anywhere that can be used for free.
<How to Send Videos>
① Log in to the app, select the video you want to send, and click the send button.
② Click the link sharing button (the video will be uploaded within the app).
③ Select the uploaded video, and a shareable URL will appear, which can be copied and sent via LINE.
※Note※
The link is only valid for 48 hours, so you need to inform the recipient to download it within that time frame.*

Method 4 for Sending Long Videos: Firestorage
Finally, there's the file transfer service Firestorage.
You can use it on browsers like Safari or Chrome, so there’s no need to install any apps.
<How to Send Videos>
① Upload the file (if you set the storage period to over 7 days, it can be downloaded anytime).
② Once the upload is complete, a download URL will appear, which you can send via LINE.
