Introducing Recent Brides' Wedding Cakes♡
There were many postponements of weddings from around February to May...
However, I heard that from summer to this fall, the number of weddings is gradually increasing, with many venues returning to about 80% of last year's numbers*
So!
In this article, I will introduce the "wedding cakes" of brides who have recently held their weddings♡
Rather than the weddings held over six months ago before the pandemic, I will showcase designs that I thought were “stylish” from recent posts♩
<1>
A wedding cake with a puffy embroidery-like design made from fresh cream♡ It’s simple yet shows great taste*
<2>
Fresh cream is spread on and dried orange is added on top. It has a casual yet stylish vibe♡

This one-layer round wedding cake is smeared with fresh cream and decorated with gold leaf and pink roses♡
<5>
A semi-naked cake with a light layer of fresh cream and greenery*
<6>
A two-tier wedding cake adorned with silver leaves and nuts. The key point is that the nuts are painted gold♩
<7>
An impressive three-tier brush stroke cake! It has a cohesive look with brush strokes in the same colors as the floral arrangements on the high table*
<8>
A wedding cake featuring figs and blueberries. Using figs instead of strawberries gives it a trendy feel.
The cake base floral arrangement has a rustic and stylish atmosphere*
<9>
A simple two-tier wedding cake with a greenery-focused floral arrangement at the base. Having a cake stand gives the cake height and creates a well-defined space♩
<10>
A classic two-tier wedding cake with strawberries, designed with elegant brush strokes on the side. The brush strokes give a trendy feel to this classic design♡
<11>
A "jewel cake" that reveals sparkling gems inside♡ This design has been trendy overseas for a few years but has also been adopted by brides in Japan♩
<12>
A wedding cake with orchids and gold leaf. It seems suitable for hotel weddings as well*
<13>
A one-layer cake decorated with gold leaf. Gold leaf cakes fit beautifully on natural tree stump bases or elegant glass cake stands♡
<14>
An impressive wedding cake with a puffy mountain-like silhouette. The point is that the silver dragées are placed on top of the cream, not just sprinkled directly♩
<15>
A wedding cake that evokes the arrival of autumn with dried flowers, tree stumps, and gold leaf decorations♡
<16>
A new image of a wedding cake featuring strawberries, brush strokes, and more strawberries♡
<17>
An autumn-inspired wedding cake decorated with dried flowers and dried oranges*
<18>
A wedding cake with faint marble patterns. Gold leaf, figs, white flowers, and fluffy plants are the key points♩
<19>
A sparkling wedding cake adorned with regularly spaced dragées♡
<20>
Amazing! A design that expresses a tree stump with fresh cream.
<21>
A classic strawberry wedding cake, stylishly smeared with fresh cream diagonally*
<22>
A "crystal cake" combining sugar and candy. It’s like a work of art…!
<23>
A wedding cake using "silver leaf" instead of gold leaf*
<24>
A square cake with the word "love." Decorating with muscat and oranges gives it a fresh summer impression♡
<25>
A wedding cake with rich-colored brush strokes and flowers. It has a stylish and mature image♡
<26>
A design combining shine muscat and plants. Using the same flowers and greens as the bouquet provides a sense of unity♩
<27>
Amazing!!! A wedding cake adorned with gradient chocolate (?).
It looks like Tsuchiya’s sweets “Mizuno Iro”*
<28>
A marble wedding cake with gold leaf, and at the very bottom, there’s amber sugar♡
What a great idea to use "amber sugar" instead of flowers for the cake stand decoration!
<29>
A design that resembles fruits bursting out of an ice cream cone♡
<30>
Flowers on a wedding cake. It looks cute from 360° anywhere you look♡
<31>
A design where jewels are spilling out from a two-tier wedding cake*
<32>
Brush strokes made with abundant cream resembling oil paintings. It has a three-dimensional and stylish feel♡
<33>
While traditional cake toppers like chocolate plates or cookies are common, I found an idea of using acrylic ones as well*
Many simple, rustic, and overseas-style cakes!
I introduced wedding cakes posted from summer to fall 2020 (probably when weddings took place during that period)!
As for trending words,
✅Simple
✅Rustic
✅Overseas-style
✅Round
I felt those were the trends.
On the other hand, it seems there are fewer cakes with:
✅Colorful fruits all over
✅Naked cakes
✅Fruit cross-section cakes
✅Original cakes featuring characters like Disney
✅Heart or star shapes
I believe that the design you find cute♡ or like♡ is the best, but if you’re unsure, it might be good to refer to the designs of recent brides♩
