Precious, Precious Sweets♡

I found a beautifully arranged set of Wagashi.

This is a confection called "Kyo no Yosuga" from a long-established Wagashi shop in Kyoto named 【亀末廣 (Kamesuehiro)】, which has been in business since 1804.

It feels like a Japanese-style version of a cookie tin♡

The sight of various shapes and colorful Wagashi neatly lined up and tightly packed in the box almost makes me exclaim, "Moe~~♡".

Enjoying the Changing Seasons♡

Kyo no Yosuga changes its contents with the seasons.

✅ Spring Example (Sakura)

✅ Summer Example (Hydrangea)

✅ Autumn Example (Persimmons and Fallen Leaves)

✅ Winter Example (Camellia)

The price is 3600 yen for a square box referred to as "Yojohan" (a metaphor for a tea room).

This smaller-sized box is priced at 1100 yen.

The shelf life is about one week.

No Online Shopping. No Branches.

This shop values "one-on-one" interactions, so there are no branches or online shopping. They do not have a presence in department stores or similar venues.

(It seems that they don't even have a website.)

The fact that such beautiful and traditional Wagashi can only be purchased by visiting the charming area of Anekouji in Kyoto ignites a desire in my soul to "want to go!"

The store is built in the traditional style of a町屋 (machiya). The signboard is made from boxes of confections that were once offered to the Imperial Palace.

The shop opens at 8:30 AM, and popular items often sell out, so it’s advisable to arrive early*

While they don’t sell online, it is possible to have products purchased from the shop delivered.

Alternatively, you can call the shop and if you pay the product price via bank transfer, it seems they can send it to you as well.

I Want to Appreciate Beautiful Wagashi♡

A carefully crafted set of Wagashi from Kamesuehiro called "Kyo no Yosuga".

The sweets are layered in two tiers, making it look like they are really packed full inside.

It’s a joy to be able to compare and choose from various types of sweets, such as dry sweets, half-baked sweets, and rakugan, all at once while enjoying them slowly♡

Taking time to appreciate each piece of confection while enjoying tea is pure bliss♡

This is a confectionery shop that I want to prioritize when planning my visit to Kyoto♡
