Finally Completed My Dream Custom Couture Dress from 【Emarie】♡
I’m Sae, and I recently finished my wedding. The dress, which took over a year to make, was finally completed just a week before the wedding!♪
I’d like to report on the journey from the final fitting to the wedding day!
I Was So Impressed by Emarie's Support!!
What makes Emarie so appealing is that they provide full support not just in crafting the dress but all the way until the wedding day.
I haven’t seen many brides who have their dresses ‘brought in’ to the wedding venue, so I was a bit anxious, wondering, “Will the dress arrive properly on the day?” and “Will it be wrinkle-free?” but Emarie took care of all arrangements perfectly.
The day before the wedding, a representative from Emarie personally delivered the dress to the venue and ironed it to ensure it was ready. Additionally, they prepared a “dress preparation instruction sheet” for the venue staff. I was deeply moved by their care and commitment to make sure that I wear my custom couture dress in the best possible condition!
On the Wedding Day, I Truly Felt Like a Princess♡
Since I had a Shinto ceremony, I wore Emarie’s dress during the reception for the color change.
When the groom saw me come out of the fitting room, he couldn’t help but whisper, “Beautiful…” clearly captivated by the charm of the dress. The attendant also complimented me, saying, “I’ve never seen such a wonderful dress before.”*
An Awe-Inspiring Entrance. The Dress Was So Impressive, It Earned Cheers.
As I have a hobby in classical ballet, I chose classic music from the scene where the princess and prince appear in "The Nutcracker," which complemented Emarie's dress perfectly.
The combination of classical music and a royal atmosphere received numerous compliments when we made our entrance, with people exclaiming, “Wonderful!!”
I Truly Felt Grateful for Wearing Emarie’s Dress While Receiving Compliments from Everyone*
Everyone really said, “The dress is truly lovely.” One particularly memorable comment was, “This dress has a richness similar to traditional Japanese garments.” While it had a unique and cute design with bows and covered buttons, the heavy silk fabric and meticulously calculated flow gave it a traditional feel akin to a kimono. It seemed to be favored not only for its princess-like vibe reminiscent of a tulle dress but also by the older guests.
The hair accessory I chose to match the dress is the popular ribbon bun from Emarie. Since my dress features large bows both in the front and back, I was concerned it might be too much, but when I tried it on, it felt just right. In fact, the ribbon bun contributed to a mature elegance rather than being overwhelming. I was so happy to wear this coveted hair accessory that Sakurako from the drama “Yamato Nadeshiko” also wore!♡
As for accessories, I opted for simple pearl and diamond earrings, forgoing a necklace. I consulted with Emarie's designer about accessories and decided to keep it simple since the ribbon detail at the neckline already had a strong presence, ensuring balance.
The Photos at the Venue Turned Out Beautifully♡
Unfortunately, it rained on the wedding day, so we took photos inside the venue. The photos came out beautifully, blending with the classic and heavy atmosphere of Happo-en.
It Was the Best Day Ever, Becoming the Bride I Had Always Dreamed of◎
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was truly a happy day for me as I got to wear my dream dress. After the wedding, Emarie also personally came to pick up the dress for cleaning and is currently storing it for me.
Since I only wore the dress during the reception, I am planning to have a post-wedding photo shoot♪ I can't wait for what will surely be another stunning creation filled with Emarie's dedication!*
