Choosing a Gift Can Be Difficult

When it comes to choosing a gift for visiting a friend's house, it's easy. After all, you know your friend well and can pick something you'd like to eat together.

When you think, "They would probably like this" or "I’m sure they would be happy with that," those ideas come to mind quickly. However, choosing a gift for meeting their parents can be challenging...

✅ It should be something delicious.

✅ It should be something that won’t let me down.

✅ But if it’s something that you can find everywhere or something mass-produced, it feels like I just bought it randomly.

✅ If it's something trendy, it might come off as superficial.

✅ And things that have to be reserved for purchase can be difficult due to a busy schedule...

All these considerations make it hard to decide on the hand gift when visiting their house....

(Doesn't that happen to you?)

How about Ginroku Mochi? ♡

Recently, I've come across a snack that I thought would make a great solid hand gift.

It's a dorayaki called Ginroku Mochi from Ginza Kanra ♡

These dorayaki are small enough to be eaten with just your thumb and index finger.

They are moist and make you feel guilt-free even if you eat them in the middle of the night.

The characteristic feature is their moist and chewy skin, and many people say, "It’s just like Ajarimoti!" The moist dorayaki isn't dry, which makes it easy to eat multiple pieces.

The name Ginroku Mochi comes from its origin in Ginza's sixth district, which is lovely.

The price is also reasonable, with a box of 10 pieces for 1,233 yen, tax included.

It might feel a bit too cheap as a gift for the initial greeting, so if you're worried that just this might feel insufficient, you could consider buying other products along with it.

Here is the Hachiko-themed mochi, available exclusively at the Kanra Shibuya Scramble store.

And here is the bean daifuku.

If it's around New Year or January, the seasonal "Hanabira Mochi" would also make a nice gift.

For a Chic Hand Gift ♡

Ginza Kanra has its main store in Ginza.

They have shops in various places like Lumine and Ecute, making it convenient to purchase.

It would be a good idea to remember this as a chic hand gift option ♡
