Lucky Station ♡
The Ōigawa Railway Ōigawa Main Line running in Shizuoka Prefecture.
Did you know there is a station with the auspicious name "Kadoide Station"?
The Ōigawa Railway is the only railway in Japan that operates steam locomotives (SL) almost every day.
It's extremely popular among train enthusiasts!
It’s also famous for the Thomas the Tank Engine train! *(You can ride it if you make a reservation in advance.)*
Kadoide Station is brand new!
This station, famous for SL and the Thomas train, called "Kadoide Station," just opened on November 12, 2020.
It’s an unmanned station with one platform and one line, but it was created for access to the "KADODE OOIGAWA," one of the largest experiential food parks in Shizuoka, known for green tea, agriculture, and tourism.
(It is located in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture.)

By the way, next to Kadoide Station is "Gokaku Station."
(It seems Gokawa Station was renamed at the same time as Kadoide Station opened.)
It’s a station name that makes you want to wish for success in exams.
Mizuhiki Design ♡
The sign at Kadoide Station is adorned with red and gold mizuhiki.
It looks like a gift wrapping design, such a festive motif ♡
Marriage is a new beginning in the journey of two lives.
It’s a station sign that makes couples want to take commemorative photos together ♡
Someday, I want to visit ♩
Kadoide Station on the Ōigawa Railway. I’ve never seen a station that seems to celebrate marriage in such a festive way...!
