In June, I’m planning to have a wedding ceremony with just family in Okinawa 🐚

A few days ago, I found out that I am pregnant. If everything goes well, the wedding is next month, and I would like to announce the pregnancy to both families there.

I would be happy to hear any good ideas or suggestions for presentations 🍒

I am the venue captain. Here are some ideas!

① A surprise at the end of a Thanks DVD (like a letter of gratitude to your parents) showing the baby's ultrasound photo.

② During the first meet with family, read a letter of gratitude, and at the end, announce the pregnancy.

③ If you can know the gender at this time, use a Lumi Fantasia (a performance where the liquid held by the bride and groom glows when mixed) to announce the gender.

I also announced my second pregnancy at my wedding 🤰 I included it in the end roll of the video.

The content was a hidden camera video where I announced my pregnancy to my husband! I handed a positive pregnancy test to my child and told them to give it to dad, with a video capturing his reaction!

My husband was confused at first, but we managed to capture a heartwarming video.

We played this video at the end of the reception, and all the guests were surprised (laughs).

During the send-off of the guests, many congratulated us, and it became a great surprise!

There are probably simpler ways to announce to just family, but I believe doing a surprise would make it a memorable experience!

You could showcase photos of the bride and groom when they were born or as children in a video, reminiscing and having fun, and then use an app or something to predict the face of your child and boldly show it, announcing your pregnancy!

How about conveying the excitement of what kind of cute child will be born? 🥰

If it’s just family, I think it would be best to simply announce the news with words from the bride and groom 🌸

How about making a news-style video? Is it just the ceremony, or will there also be a meal gathering? 🤔 If there’s a meal gathering, maybe announce it during the initial greeting...

My brother-in-law and his wife gathered relatives at the beach in Okinawa (it was 3 years ago, so there were no COVID concerns back then 😭) and announced whether it was a boy or a girl!

There were many children, so they dyed water in squirt guns pink or blue and had everyone wear white clothes, spraying each other! 🙌 The correct answer was revealed through the spraying!

Sorry for my poor Japanese 😅

The photo with the blue of the ocean and white T-shirts looked amazing, and I highly recommend it 👶🏻❤️ The location in Okinawa is the best 🌈

Since there were many relatives, we even wore pink and blue leis!

Instead of the bride's final speech, how about giving a gift during the lively part after the toast? Something marked “Grandpa” or “Grandma” (if you want to add some humor, maybe T-shirts) to your parents?

It might momentarily confuse them, but the surprise and joy would surely overflow!!!
