What a stylish glass piece!

Recently, I would like to introduce a brand that I've found really charming, called **wa/ter***

wa/ter is a brand launched by an interior design office in Osaka.

(It seems that the company was involved in the interior design of Takami Bridal, which opened in 2020 inside the Japan Fair Hotel!)

This glass object sold by wa/ter.

It's thick and plump, giving it a gentle atmosphere.

I thought it would be wonderful as a ring pillow...♡ When I looked into the product and the brand, I found it to be a truly amazing brand.

"Turning waste into interior"

The interior design office Drawers created this brand with the philosophy of questioning urban development, which often involves scrapping and rebuilding, by approaching it with good design to create value that can be used for a long time.

➡️ I would love for you to read the message on the official website!

Both scrapping and building impose an environmental burden.

With the desire to "give new value to things that have lost their worth through the power of design," wa/ter’s products are made without using new materials.

The object that resembles the bottom of a glass (HAMON) is sold without a designated use to reduce the likelihood of becoming waste after the trend fades, leaving room for various uses.

Whether as a ring pillow, a plate, or a diffuser... it’s wonderful that it can be used in any way based on the imagination of its user, as it seems to offer endless new possibilities.

This object (the stacking block) is made by cutting scraps generated when making furniture that would typically be discarded.

A bookend made from stone materials that were supposed to be discarded at construction sites.

This tableware is created using ceramic stones that typically contain many impurities and is crafted into uniquely colored vessels with a simple shape, embracing the natural state.

(This piece is by an artist named Kirsty Van Noort from the brand **Arita Ware 2016**, with which wa/ter resonates.*)

Manufacturing involves not only costs but also expenses related to the portions that are discarded in the process.

I want to avoid doing bad things as much as possible...

The attitude to combat the emptiness felt during consumer activities with "value" through art, beauty, and design must stem from the experiences and thoughts of those who have gone through various struggles, feelings of anger, and ideals.

Thinking about how, thanks to such people, our lives are still maintained in this state... makes me realize that I need to use more imagination in selecting products for each purchase. I deeply respect and envy those who can do so.

The brand wa/ter is really wonderful, so please check out their website and Instagram♡

(They also operate a rental villa limited to one group per day amidst the nature of Awaji Island, and I want to visit it!♡)
