Celebration. Gather together and increase the budget...!

Recently, I created an article on marry.

➡️ **"Wedding gifts between 10,000 to 15,000 yen. What would you be happy to receive?"**

This article introduces all the responses gathered from followers on marry's Instagram, where I asked, "What is something you genuinely want for about 10,000 yen??"

I was particularly interested in the replies mentioning, "Honestly, there's not much I want in the 10,000 yen range..."

Well, indeed, with a budget of 10,000 yen, you can't buy something worth 60,000 yen or 100,000 yen...

(But that’s a given...)

✅ It's better to receive one item worth 50,000 yen than to receive five items worth 10,000 yen!

✅ It's better to receive one item worth 100,000 yen than to receive ten items worth 10,000 yen!

I can understand that there are people who think this way.

"Items in the 10,000 yen range are things I could buy myself, and since many people tend to gift items around that amount, my list of desired items keeps getting smaller. So, honestly, cash is the most appreciated because I can use it to purchase something I really want that costs more than 10,000 yen."

Furthermore, there's the opinion that "gifts at that price point are often low-quality or inexpensive brands, and if it's not consumables or household appliances, they usually end up not being used after a few years, making it a waste of money."

I'm now 35 years old, and when I recall things we pooled money for in our early 20s, I sometimes think, "We were just young..."

(Being young is not a bad thing, of course...)

However, I do feel that as I've aged a bit, my perspective now includes whether things can be "used for a long time."

So,

In this article, assuming each person's contribution is between 10,000 to 15,000 yen,

if a group of 4-5 or 7 people pools their money, the budget might reach around 70,000 to just over 100,000 yen. I'm going to recommend gifts for weddings considering what are some good things you can get for that budget that can be used for special occasions in the future, and what would be something you’d be happy to receive at the time of marriage.

【1】 Yoko Chan's Dress

A YOKO CHAN dress that can be cherished like a talisman if you have one.

Blouses are nice, but for such a special occasion, having one complete dress is the best.

The most famous one has pearls around the neckline, and it costs around 60,000 yen.

It takes courage to buy it for oneself, but thinking of it as a group gift makes it feel more feasible.

Just having one makes you someone who owns Yoko Chan, so it’s an incredible cost-performance as a gift.

✅ Wear it on the date commemorating your marriage registration.

✅ Wear it for the face-to-face meeting.

✅ Wear it for your child’s newborn celebration.

✅ Wear it for the entrance ceremony.

...there’s no trouble finding something to wear for important occasions!♡

【2】 Jimmy Choo Shoes

Jimmy Choo shoes have a similar vibe. It's intimidating to buy for oneself, but having one pair will be a lifesaver for the next few years.

Among various higher-end shoe brands, they particularly have a wedding-like feel. Most items are under 100,000 yen (and they often have sales!).

If you’re giving a Yoko Chan dress, the Flared-sleeve Pearl Slit-line Dress that Kristel Takigawa wore is a classic choice, so I think buying that would be good. However, since there are many types of Jimmy Choo shoes and varying heel heights, it might be nice to ask the recipient, "Which one do you want?"

【3】 Chanel Brooch

Buying a brooch for oneself is a high hurdle, but a Chanel brooch is something you can cherish for a lifetime.

A simply sparkling Chanel logo brooch can be purchased for around 70,000 yen.

It goes well with coats, jackets, dresses, and T-shirts. It’s perfect to wear!♡

【4】 Roger Vivier Sneakers

It seems like everyone fashionable has Roger Vivier sneakers lately. (And rain boots!)

They have a sporty feel because they are sneakers, yet they are sparkling, festive, and elegant.

They are somewhat pricey at around 150,000 yen, but if the budget allows, I highly recommend them.

【5】 Baccarat Crystal Clear Glass

Baccarat's recent special item is this. "Crystal clear glass."

It’s a collaborative product with Virgil Abloh, the first Black creative director for Louis Vuitton's men's line.

Baccarat's street-style design reflects Virgil Abloh. With a unique appearance resembling a café latte or cola cup, it features a straw and a lid.

So beautiful.... Limited to 4,000 pieces worldwide, each costs about 70,000 yen.

(Having Baccarat in your car cup holder is simply amazing!)

【6】 Max Mara Coat

Max Mara coats can also be a reliable item that helps you for several years.

Casual lines can be purchased for under 100,000 yen. You can see a significant difference in elegance compared to cheaper items.

I would be very happy to receive a Max Mara coat as a winter season gift.

【7】 Cybex Stroller

If your friend is pregnant,

how about pooling money together to gift a stroller? While brand preference varies, the Cybex Mios stroller is stylish and beautiful.

It's slender, and its frame comes in gold, and the handle material can also be customized (you can even get it in wood!).

It’s a German brand, priced around 100,000 yen.

Even domestic products often cost around 60,000 yen, so considering Cybex for an extra 40,000 yen as a gift would be delightful and helpful!♡

Gifts that are not "affordable"!

Giving a present that's closer to something timeless rather than consumables is wonderful!♡

Even expensive items can be achievable if everyone pools their money!♡

This article is a rather personal opinion listing preferences, but it summarizes what I discussed with a friend recently, thinking about "Things like these are nice and would make me happy!" I hope you can reflect on this and think, "Oh, there are different perspectives!"
