Delightful Guest Experience: A Heartwarming Idea of Having Two Head Tables at the Reception!

Preparing Two Main Tables...!?
I saw a post by wd___mi, who is registered as a bride with marry, stating, "I prepared two main tables!"
Two main tables? What does that mean?? I was momentarily puzzled, but after carefully reading wd___mi's post and thinking it over, I realized it was a very rational and lovely form of hospitality. So, I’d like to share it with everyone. ♡
The primary reason wd___mi prepared two main tables is "because there are pillars inside the venue."
It seems that there are several thick pillars in the banquet hall, which can make it difficult for guests to see the bride and groom depending on where they are seated.
So, it was decided that the bride and groom would change seats at the time of the outfit change!
By preparing two main tables, starting at the front main table and then sitting at the side main table after the outfit change, all guests can view the bride and groom without obstruction.*
For the guests, having the main couple close by is very delightful. (It’s like when actors or singers come down from the stage during a show or concert and move closer to the audience, which is always exciting! ♡)
This innovative idea solves the problem of "it's hard to see the bride and groom because of the pillars" by changing the seating location, allowing for a close distance with many guests (hospitality ♡).
◆ What are the benefits of having two main tables?
There are many other benefits to preparing two main tables as well. Here are some considerations from marry.
✅ The distance to all guests becomes closer.
✅ The distance to family sitting in a lower seat also becomes closer.
✅ You can sit at both the main table and the high sofa.
✅ The decor imagery of the high sofa can be changed.
✅ Guests will take lots of photos.
✅ Changing backgrounds creates a different atmosphere even in the same venue.
◆ What are the drawbacks of having two main tables?
On the other hand, I also considered the drawbacks of having two main tables.
✅ Flower arrangement costs may double.
✅ The venue may feel smaller.
✅ The distinctions between upper and lower seats may become unclear.
✅ It may be considered rude to the honored guests...?
Should we also prepare high sofas in two locations??
The bride who actually prepared two main tables did so because "there are pillars in the venue," but I thought that even without pillars, having two main tables could be a good idea with many benefits. ♡
Since there are distinctions between upper and lower seats where guests are seated, changing the bride and groom's seating during the ceremony could eliminate the concept of these distinctions... which may complicate things depending on the invited guests. However,
✅ If it’s a wedding primarily for friends,
✅ If you want both friends and family to enjoy being close together,
✅ If you want to enjoy the venue’s coordination,
then I think incorporating this idea would be a wonderful form of hospitality.*
Since it is often the case that wedding venues do not have precedents for this, please consult with your planner about whether it is feasible. ♩
