I feel like the probability of these being used has been decreasing lately.
From my experience, about 80% of cakes used to have them, but now the usage rate seems to be around 10% to 20%.
Since they are decoration items, and originally cake toppers were introduced as new and trendy items, it seems that as times change, we are returning to the basics, and they have become less used.
(Instead, decorations are now done with universal items like flowers and fruits.)
In this article, I will present photos of wedding cakes without cake toppers taken from Instagram.
I was quite surprised to find cakes that "I feel like definitely used to have cake toppers in the past...!" that don’t have them anymore!

The Image of Cake Toppers...!
The perception of cake toppers is shifting toward "something that was popular in the past," "old and a bit dated?" and "something that feels bygone," and it is surprising to me that the trend of not using cake toppers has already set in, making them relatively less common.
I even saw a tweet saying, "I feel like cake toppers are tacky...!"
However, decorating without cake toppers using flowers or fruits is not lonely at all; it’s cute and a universal decoration ♡
Which do you prefer, with or without cake toppers?
