Unique Touches of a Family Wedding: Requesting Guests to Write Messages During the Intermission ♩

Performances You Want to Do During the Family Wedding Intermission*
The intermission time during a family or small wedding.
Many people might think they want to keep things simple during the intermission, allowing guests to enjoy their meals, chat freely with each other, and have a relaxed time without any structured activities.
However, there are some performances that allow guests to participate easily without taking too much time, and I would like to introduce one of them!*
Prepare paper and boards (colored paper or notebooks are fine), and have a theme where guests can write messages in that space. ♩
The bride in this case had:
- Parents write a user manual for the bride and groom
- Relatives share secrets for a successful married life
and encouraged everyone to write freely as individuals. ♡
Perhaps this is a message from the mother... it's wonderful! ♡
At larger weddings, it might be a bit difficult to distribute papers to everyone and have them write during the intermission time,
but for a family wedding, it’s great to receive quick, heartfelt messages from family members who know the bride and groom well, all in a short amount of time! ♡
Other themes might work well too! ♩
For example♡
<For Parents>
- From your experiences, what are the essentials for building a happy family?
- What is the one story you want to share about the groom (bride)?
- What did you feel when the groom (bride) was born?
- What would you like to tell the groom (bride)?
<For Siblings>
- What are your memories with the groom (bride)?
- Has your impression changed from when you were little to now as adults?
<For Relatives>
- What was your impression of the groom (bride) in the past?
- What is the most important thing in married life?
- What should we do if there’s a fight?
Please give it a try! ♡
Having guests write messages is a performance unique to family or small weddings that only takes about 20-30 seconds per person, ensuring it doesn’t burden the guests or take up too much time.
After the wedding, you will look forward to reading what everyone wrote! ♡
Be sure to incorporate this into one of the performances during the intermission.
