The limited edition from Van Cleef is gaining popularity year by year. It is rumored that it sold out on the same day it was released on October 1st in Japan.
Many stores had lines forming before they opened.
(For the Japan market...)
What kind of stone is this pink stone??
The stone featured in this year's limited edition 2021 is rhodonite, a natural stone.
Here it is♡
According to the International Mineralogical Association, it belongs to the category of pyroxenes.
Rhodonite (rhodon) means rose in Greek. It seems this name was given because the color of the stone resembles that of a rose.
In Japanese, it is called "bara kiseki" (ばら輝石)*
It is well-known as a power stone, and it has a flower language.
It is considered a stone that symbolizes friendship, with the stone language meanings of "manifestation of love" and "hidden passion."
It is a guardian stone for Taurus, Cancer, and Virgo.
Some stones contain black inclusions, but the parts used in luxury jewelry like Alhambra are rare parts that shine without any black inclusions.
The parts that are processed into beads for bracelets tend to have a stronger matte finish.
By the way, comparing the pink shield from the 2015 edition (made from the traditional French porcelain "Sèvres") and rhodonite is trending.
The right is the pink shield.
The left is rhodonite.
From a distance, they look almost the same... but it is said that rhodonite is characterized by its blended colors.
Because each individual looks slightly different, people have been selecting based on personal preference, choosing lighter or darker shades♡
Upcoming stock availability....
Pink is not a standard color like white, black, silver, or gold, but a happy color to enjoy fashion with♡
I feel like having it increases my happiness level*
Currently, it seems to be sold out in Japan, but as it happens every year, stocks from around the world may come to Japan, and there might be a chance to see it displayed in stores!
Looking at the photos shared by those who purchased it, I also think that rhodonite × rose gold × diamond is so cute♡
