"A Whiff of Daily Life...! A Friend's Regret About Their Stockings Slipping in a Foot-Focused Photo Shoot"

Regret Stories from Pre-Wedding Photoshoots.
The other day, I heard a regretful story from a friend who had a pre-wedding photoshoot at a photo studio.
My friend wanted to take a wedding photo with a composition of "sitting down, spreading the dress gently, and showing just a glimpse of her bare feet from the hem of the skirt".
The image was something like this.
She wanted to take off her shoes and create a playful, somewhat childlike innocent atmosphere.
However, even though she had taken off her bridal shoes, she was still wearing stockings.
My friend was wondering, "Is it okay that I'm wearing stockings? Doesn't it look strange that the stockings are visible...?" Yet, since no one particularly mentioned anything, she ended up continuing the shoot as is.
But when she saw the actual photos, it was clear that the presence of the stockings was too strong...!
The moment she saw them, an intense sense of discomfort struck her.
"This looks clearly unfashionable...?? I should have either taken off the stockings to properly show my pedicure or just put my shoes back on. Why did I get photographed in such a half-hearted way...?" She was shocked.
The toes were crooked...!
Moreover, the worst part was that there is that slightly thicker seam line on stockings that conforms to the toes.
That line had become crooked and shifted in a strange way...
So it ended up being a tragic situation where the stockings on her right foot and left foot were pointed in completely different directions.
Though it's common for the toes of stockings to slip in everyday life, it was unbelievable that none of the staff noticed this during the pre-wedding shoot.
(My friend reflected that she should have voiced her concerns back then...!)
It's painful to think that a photo she thought was cute turned into an embarrassing picture she didn't want to show anyone, one that somewhat emanated a mundane vibe.
I actually got to see that photo, and I realized, above all, that "having visible stockings often looks strange and unfashionable".
Be Careful When Showing Rental Shoes!
Similarly, I sometimes think it’s a bit odd to "show rental bridal shoes" in wedding photos that focus on the feet.
Rental shoes tend to be slick and pure white, with thick heels and square toes, and are created more for comfort and height than for design.
Therefore, I feel like it might be better not to actively include rental shoes in those shots.
The Line between Cute and Unfashionable is Very Thin
I personally think the feet can be a part that loses its cuteness due to little things apart from crooked stockings or unfashionable shoes, like swelling, injuries, or long or broken nails...
If you want to capture your feet as the main focus, make sure to pay attention to the finer details and get photographed in a nice, neat state.*
