"I didn't know this could happen!" It's educational.

One of the good things about bride accounts on social media is that they share not only the posts saying "I'm satisfied!" but also

"I regret this part"

"I think this was a mistake"

so we can see real feelings.

While knowing too many regret points might make you overly anxious and unable to enjoy,

considering the various experiences and feelings of different brides, and factoring those in as possible scenarios... can be advantageous in preparing your mind in various ways.

In this article, I will pick out some surprising or relatable points of regret shared by brides after their weddings from Instagram posts.

① About condensation on bottles

For a summer wedding, one bride prepared stylish blue bottle mineral water, Solan de Cabras, as a petite gift!

She thought it would be better to keep it cold and had it refrigerated, but by the time she handed it out, it had condensed and the bottles were soaking wet, leaving her hands and clothes wet... which was a point of regret she posted about.

Since you can't keep them cold until the last moment, considering that they might be outside for a few minutes to a few hours while arranging them, it makes sense that condensation could occur.

② A guest stayed at the head table the entire time

When she moved the welcome space photo board to the head table, it felt cluttered.

Instead of a table round, this bride chose to provide a separate sofa from the head table where guests could come from each table individually to take photos.

Unexpectedly, specific guests ended up spending a long time there (some guests didn't return to their seats and stayed at that sofa), which slowed the tempo of moving through all the tables.

She noted that perhaps a table round where they go to the guests might have made the progression easier.

③ Highlights didn't take on the first try

About bride beauty just before the wedding.

It is said that it's better to do hair coloring about a week before the wedding, but one bride found herself having to do it the day before.

She had requested highlighting but, due to her hair texture and condition, it ended up looking like there were no highlights at all.

She wished she had communicated her desired coloring to her hairstylist months in advance so they could work towards that look by the wedding day.

Indeed, it can be hard to achieve a lighter color if you previously dyed your hair darker.

④ Eyelash extension design

For her wedding, she thought she would put on heavy eyelash extensions but ended up feeling they were too thick.

Over the course of a year, she could have tried various designs (balance of thickness, number, and length) to find what suited her best.

(Indeed! I’d like to try cute or sexy styles.)

Additionally, she regretted not asking the photographer to avoid lower-angle shots since they made her nostrils stand out.

⑤ Walked too fast

Despite being careful, she regretted walking too fast.

When walking quickly, it makes the moment fleeting and reduces the time photographers and guests have to snap pictures, which can shorten the video too.

She mentioned, "I want to tell everyone holding a camera to take my picture with eye contact!"

Clear!

She also regretted not handing her iPhone to her maid of honor to capture candid shots.

⑥ Couldn't face forward during the ceremony

One bride chose a sand ceremony for her wedding vows. During it, she wanted to stand next to her partner facing the guests while pouring sand... but on the day, they had to do it facing away from the guests.

Since she was told during the planning that they could do it, she was shocked that there was a last-minute change on the day.

She noted that planners often differ from the day-of coordinators, so please be careful about "handovers" or "what was said or not said"… 🙏

Expanding imagination is good!

"This really could happen..."

"I'll be careful about this!"

These were my own feelings as I shared the points of regret from six brides after their weddings.

I hope we can open our minds to thoughts like, "such things really might happen..." and calm our feelings for the big day.
