Nihonbashi Photo Spot ① Kirin Statue

The Kirin statue is famous in Nihonbashi.

This is a total of four winged kirin sculptures displayed in the middle of the bridge across Nihonbashi, which also appears in Keigo Higashino's novel "The Wings of the Kirin."

The statue was created by sculptor Nagao Watanabe. It was installed to represent the image of the kirin taking flight from Nihonbashi, which serves as the starting point of roads connecting to the nationwide.

It has a powerful and bold expression with an incredible presence.

According to legend, the kirin comes to a peaceful country without conflicts, so taking wedding photos with it seems auspicious.
