"Everyone's Facing Forward! But If We Value Respect, We Should Capture a Shot of Each Other in Seiza Too ♡"

【Kimono Pre-Shoot】Seiza Shot is a Classic
When we think of classic poses for a kimono pre-shoot, the seiza shot comes to mind.
Sitting side by side while facing forward, and snap!
It’s a staple wedding photo often seen during moments like "Thank you for being here today" in profile movies.
Both sitting in seiza, let's bow to each other ♡
But.
Upon further reflection, seiza is an act performed facing each other (bowing).
In wedding photos, it has become standard for both the bride and groom to sit in seiza facing the same direction (the photographer), but this is probably a way to show proper posture to the guests who will view the photos.
However, in the end, the main characters in the shoot are the bride and groom. It is they who vow to each other for their long life together.
Thus, the groom should face the bride, and the bride should face the groom.
Taking a photo of them both in seiza, facing each other and saying "Nice to meet you ♡" depicts the unique customs and manners of Japan and is quite wonderful, don't you think?
(For those who have practiced martial arts like judo or kendo, this style might feel the most natural.)
① A pattern where they sit up straight and gaze into each other's eyes
② A pattern where they bow their heads in greeting
These are two types of photos that can be captured ♡
The atmosphere is dignified, and it somehow evokes a sense of "old-fashioned matchmaking," which is refreshing ♡
It’s also nice to have a slightly darker tone for the photo shoot.
They say "Begin with a bow and end with a bow!"
Observing etiquette and showing respect to each other is something that should be valued above all in the ancient Japanese martial arts spirit.
Sitting in seiza and properly greeting each other with "Nice to meet you ♡" might be a bit embarrassing, but...
If you're doing a kimono pre-shoot, this is definitely a wedding photo you should try to take ♡
