I Found a Brand I'm Curious About
Hello, this is Yuki from Marry.
I'm currently searching for wedding rings, and I found a brand that makes me think, "I definitely want to check this out."
It’s a handmade jewelry store called KANOE.
The reason I was intrigued is that I saw photos of bridal rings posted on their Instagram, and the designs are so unique and rare, creating an unusual atmosphere.
I've already been to various brands' rings at Ginza's street stores and department stores, but...
When I jumped to KANOE's account, I was captivated by a lineup of fresh designs I've never seen before in my life. I was so impressed and couldn't take my eyes off them.
I Did Some Research on the Brand
KANOE is read as "Kanoe." In kanji, it is 庚.
It seems that two designers and craftsmen from Tama Art University started making jewelry after completing a two-year trip around the world, blending their different experiences and sensibilities.
From design to production, they maintain a consistent system in their atelier.
This also includes consultations and customer service.
There is a completely reservation-based atelier located in Nakameguro, Tokyo, and they are also featured in a jewelry select shop called Fuligoshed.
They offer two patterns: fashion and bridal. Silver and K18 accessories can also be purchased through their online shop.
There are unique earrings and necklaces available too ♡
An Antique Atmosphere like Temples and Shrines
What drew me to KANOE's rings was their antique feel.
The shapes and textures of the base metals felt as if they were cut from the decorations and architecture of temples, shrines, or chapels.
I felt a calm, serene, and dignified presence from them.
It's quite rare to sense such elements from jewelry, right...?
That's why I find it wonderful that they stand out from the usual glittery and cute brands ♡
I picked out the wedding ring designs that I would like to try on.
The main price range is from 100,000 to 150,000 yen per ring.
KANOE Wedding Ring Designs
【💍】
A wedding ring with a uniquely shaped arm that resembles an Egyptian perfume bottle.
It seems to be made using a technique called "削り出し (tsukuridashi)," creating a shadowy and chic impression.
This is the first time I've seen such a shape in a marriage ring.
【💍】
The surface looks like it has threads wrapped around it.
KANOE's rings have no distinction between men's and women's designs, so you can choose designs freely regardless of gender.
【💍】
A ring with a vibrant atmosphere made up of overlapping different designs. Just looking at it makes me think, “This must be really hard to make...?”
You can also have them create the same design in different materials.
There's a diamond version too ♡
【💍】
A braided pattern.
The black-textured one on the far left looks stylish, doesn't it?
It seems like it would look cool on a man.
【💍】
The matte, rough texture unique to the metal is also fashionable.
The blend of gold and silver gives it a rustic atmosphere.
【💍】
The texture feels as if it has stabilized the moment metal melted from heat. The irregularities like lunar craters are unique to this particular ring.
【💍】
KANOE also offers eternity rings.
Perfect for brides wanting to add some sparkle with diamonds ♡ It would also be lovely to gradually layer them with other rings on anniversaries.
Fresh Engagement Rings too♡
KANOE's engagement rings also have designs that don’t disappoint in their rarity.
Unlike classic solitaire rings, they feature unique shapes with distinctive quirks.
【💍】
The diamond shapes are also often quite distinctive ♡
【💍】
They have an international flair that doesn’t look Japanese.
【💍】
They offer a variety of slightly unusual colored stones, such as brown diamonds.
They have that chic, sophisticated feel. Wouldn't you be thrilled to be proposed to with one of these...?
Unique and One-of-a-Kind♡
I introduced the bridal rings from KANOE, the jewelry store I'm most curious about right now.
They are not from a well-known brand, so they don’t overlap with others.
It's clear they aren't cheap or picked under the mindset of "this will do," and their attention to detail in rare designs is wonderful.
Many men might also appreciate the matte, subdued texture that is characteristic of metals.
I found a great brand ♡
