Heartwarming Consideration the Day Before the Wedding: Sending a Customized Route to the Venue Might be Thoughtful

Directions to the Venue Provided Right Before the Event
At two recent weddings I attended, I received this kind of hospitality consecutively.
A week to a day before the wedding, the groom and bride sent a homemade 【directions to the venue】 document via LINE.
Instead of materials prepared by the venue or the URL for access maps listed on the website.
I was surprised that both were created by the groom and bride...!
①
From one of them, I received a PDF (one page) that included photos taken from the nearest station's ticket gate to the venue.
There are usually multiple ways to get to the venue.
While it's good to follow directions from map applications like Google Maps, at large or congested train stations, it can be surprisingly smoother and clearer to proceed by looking at photos of landmark buildings.
I was happy to receive a "recommended route" for a place I had never been to before.
It looked something like this♡

From another guest, I received a video of directions to the venue. (It's impressive that they took the effort to create a video!)
That venue is known for having a steep slope from the station...
However, there is also a flat route that avoids the slope, and the groom and bride introduced it by piecing together videos they filmed themselves.
This is a screenshot from the video, and it looked like this.
The video also displayed arrows when turning corners, making it easy to follow.
I attended in a visiting dress, and going up and down the slope was tough, so I was really relieved to know I could take the flat path as shown.
There was also a shuttle bus guide.
I was moved by their hospitality even the day before!
Even though there is a venue website and Google Maps to look up directions to the wedding venue, I was touched by the kindness and thoughtfulness of them going out of their way to take photos and videos and create a recommended route document to send over via LINE.
Especially in cases where:
- Many guests are unfamiliar with the area
- The route from the station is complicated or has multiple variations
- The station's interior is vast and specific recommended routes or exits exist
- There are routes that can avoid slopes or narrow paths
It might be good to prepare something like this!
It was such a delightful hospitality from a guest's perspective♩
