I Had No Idea That the {Lotus Flower} Blooming Like a Strawberry Would Be This Cute Before Fully Blossom!

Have you ever seen a lotus bud?
When we think of lotus flowers, the famous state after they bloom or their leaf shapes come to mind...
I found this "lotus bud (hasu) that hasn't fully opened yet" at a flower shop, and I just had to share its cuteness ♡
Here it is.
It's still in the bud stage before blooming, but isn't this closed petal appearance adorable...??
It has a round and plump shape, reminiscent of a candle or a strawberry.
The blooming period is from early summer to Obon. You can find them in flower shops around July to August. At a flower shop I found at the Omotesando intersection, where flowers are usually inexpensive, it seems like they were 500 yen each.
It seems to be called 'renrai'
The lotus bud also has the lovely name 'renrai'.
The lotus is an aquatic plant that blooms in wetlands from temperate to tropical regions. It rises from underwater in budding form, and after about 20 days, the petals gradually open into bloom.
This shows the harvesting process in Vietnam. From here, they will be available in the market.
It's harvested like this. It looks quite like fishing since they use boats ♡
(I wonder if this is a large flower-size lotus... it seems very big even in bud form*)
Searching for a bouquet of lotus buds*
The lotus flower buds are unexpectedly cute.
It seems they are also used in bouquets and flower arrangements ♡
I've picked some stylish photos of lotus flowers that I would love to mimic for wedding decor.

Even a single stem of the large and noticeable lotus flower stands out.
It looks somewhat like a tulip, but in a chic color that isn’t common for tulips ♡
【💐】
A bouquet of slightly opened lotus flowers.
They are fluffy and adorable, resembling peonies.
【💐】
The flower is also used in bridal bouquets in overseas weddings.
In English, the lotus is called 'Lotus'.
Its flower language conveys "pure heart" and "sacred," which are perfect meanings for weddings.
【💐】
The shape of the lotus gives it a slightly different vibe*
A bit pointed gives a stylish feel,
while a round shape gives a softer image.
【💐】
Combined with roses.
【💐】
A Korean-style clutch bouquet.
It might be nice to have lotus instead of tulips.
【💐】
It also matches with small flowers or dried flower-like blooms, adding a casual touch*
【💐】
A single flower bouquet is also cute ♡
Doing a dozen "lotus" ceremony with this instead of roses could be lovely.
【💐】
An arrangement blending a lotus flower of a different color is also stylish.
【💐】
A bouquet coordinated for the main display.
Since they are still buds, it’s nice to be able to enjoy them for a long time after receiving them.
【💐】
Lotus flowers also look stylish when used as table decorations.
You can mix them with various other flowers...
【💐】
Or just go with lotus and greens.
I would love to use them for wedding high tables or guest table decorations if the season matches♡
The lotus flowers and buds are so cute ♡
Like candles, like strawberries.
Like tulips, like peonies.
The lotus flower that hasn't fully bloomed yet is adorable in so many different ways.
I had no idea they were this cute, so I thought I would like to incorporate them into bouquets and flower arrangements from now on! ♡
