Allowing Guests to Choose Their Favorite Snacks: A Unique Idea for "All-You-Can-Fill" Petit Gifts
2022.07.28 published
I can't believe there are such ideas for small gifts!
Recently I was surprised by an idea related to small gifts.
Have you ever heard of "small gift bulk packing"?
***
Small gifts are usually handed out by the bride and groom to guests during the farewell after the wedding reception...
The idea of a "bulk packing of small gifts" involves:
① Giving each guest a plastic bag (this can be done by the bride and groom themselves or can be distributed by staff beforehand).
② Arranging various candies on a table like a candy shop.
③ Guests can take as many of their favorite candies as they can fit into their plastic bags.
What a creative idea!*
I always thought it was common to hand one item to each person, but...
It's amazing and shocking to think that there's such an idea as "Take what you like!"
Whether or not it can actually be done aside, I thought it sounded really fun!
If you want to do it...
If you want to try a "small gift bulk packing"...
It's better to prepare as many types of candies as possible:
- Affordable
- Available for bulk buying (like large packs or variety packs)
- Individually packaged
- Small enough that they don’t take up too much space
- But still looks somewhat stylish
These types of products would be suitable.
For example!
<International Candies>
✅ Kisses chocolate
✅ Haribo
✅ Lotus biscuits
✅ Lindt chocolate
✅ Wafers
✅ Ferrero Rocher
✅ Swiss Delice chocolate
✅ Snickers
✅ Caffarel chocolate
✅ Market O Real Brownie
✅ Walker's Shortbread
<Domestic Candies>
✅ Tirol chocolate
✅ Kit Kat
✅ Happy Turn
✅ Bisco
✅ Black Thunder
✅ Country Ma'am
If it were me*
If I were to prepare a small gift bulk packing for my wedding, I would prefer to choose imported candies for their appearance.
This could give it a foreign supermarket vibe and make it look stylish.
I would also want to pay attention to the containers (display is important, after all).
I think elegant trays or glass boxes would be good.
An obon like this would be ideal ♡
Furthermore, I would want to establish some rules.
If I say, "Please take as much as you like!" some guests might hold back and not take anything at all...
So saying, "Please choose freely, about 5-6 pieces per person," might be a good way to set a limit.
I plan to prepare enough so that having leftovers would be okay, and I will buy a bit extra from Costco or Amazon.
Did it make you want to try it?
It's like a festival with a bulk packing of small gifts.
Collecting lots of your favorite candies could also be interesting. Do you want to try it? ♡
Guests will definitely be surprised at the end!
