Tufting*
Have you heard of the trending technique of tufting, which is popular for workshops and handmade experiences?
Tufting is a textile technique used to create rugs, carpets, and similar items.
These thick, fluffy-textured carpets and mats are made using tufting.
Tufting originated overseas and has been around for some time (the tufting machine was invented in the United States in the 1950s),
but recently, there's been a global movement to try DIY with electric tufting guns or to order from handmade creators.
It has that Korean interior vibe and is so cute, right? ♡
Tufting mirrors with mirrors are also trending! ♡
How is it made?
Here's a detailed introduction to the technique of tufting.
First, the tufting gun, which is a necessary tool, looks like this.
You can purchase it on Amazon or Rakuten. (It was around 30,000 yen!)
The tip is a needle, and you punch the yarn into a canvas fabric where you have already drawn your design (imagine using a sewing machine).
The standard way is to hold the canvas upright and apply the tufting gun straightly.
Here's what it looks like in a video!
It seems that at first, operating the tufting gun itself is quite difficult... but once you get the hang of it, you can stitch patterns like curves and specific thicknesses at a consistent speed.
Finally, use thread-cutting scissors to even out the surface length for finishing.
Here's what the back looks like.

Reservations are essential, and it seems to fill up quickly, so I recommend booking in advance.
