Once You Find Out You're Pregnant...♡
A happy yet slightly anxious pregnancy life.
While the thought of having a baby in your belly brings happiness, you might also feel anxious about not feeling well or worried about whether you are ready to welcome the baby.
Here are some apps and services that can help support, make your pregnancy enjoyable, and prepare for the baby's arrival!♡
I will introduce various options, but for now, downloading all of them should be worth it!
(Pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting can be challenging for anyone. Let's rely on the conveniences of civilization where we can!)
App 1: Echo Photo
An app that allows you to take pictures of the ultrasound photos you receive during pregnancy check-ups. It’s convenient as you can view ultrasound photos that are often cumbersome to carry around in one place!♡
The ultrasound photos provided by hospitals are printed on thermal paper, which fades over time (similar to receipts!). Since it can be shocking when they disappear, it's advisable to scan them immediately after returning home. You can input the gestational weeks and view them in a list, enabling you to compare how your child grows bigger over time.
The app also allows you to print up to 8 photos for free, so you can keep them without worrying about them fading away!♡
App 2: Famm
"Famm" is an app that allows unlimited (wow!) photo storage. You end up taking a lot of pictures of your child, and it can fill up iPhone storage quickly!
Google Drive offers free storage up to 15GB, after which charges apply. Amazon Photos can only be used unlimitedly if you become a Prime member, but Famm is completely free with unlimited storage. Isn't that amazing?!
You can share photos with family, so if your parents or in-laws download it before the birth, they will be thrilled to see pictures shared right after the baby arrives.
Famm also has a service where you can print photos for free into a calendar. It’s an incredible app that makes you wonder, "Is this really free?!"
App 3: Baby Report
Baby Report is an app for keeping track of childcare logs. You can record details such as feeding, milk consumption, sleeping, waking up, changing diapers, weight, and height.
I used it until my child turned one year old, and it was truly convenient. You can see your baby's timings visibly rather than in a vague sense, making it easy to understand milk times and sleepy moments.
It can be shared between couples, so even if your husband is busy with work and can't partake in childcare much, he can feel the growth with comments like, "So that's how you spent your day!"
By the way, I only found out about Baby Report a month after giving birth, so I don't have records from the first month. I wish I had known about such a useful tool sooner and recorded newborn details…! I genuinely feel that downloading it during pregnancy and getting a grasp on its usage is highly recommended.

App 4: Miete
"Miete" is a recording app for reading aloud and singing, inspired by Kumon’s motto: “As soon as they’re born, let them listen to songs.” The app supports the philosophy, “200 songs and 10,000 readings ensure smart children.”
You can log the books you've read and songs sung to your child, along with their reactions, so you can recall, “This book is a favorite; I’ve read it so many times,” or “They laughed at this phrase.”
At first, children might not laugh when you read them books, but when they first giggle after months of reading various picture books, it's truly emotional.
The app also allows you to check the rankings of picture books by age, which is convenient!♡
App 5: Albus
Lastly, I want to introduce Albus, an app that many might already be using since it's quite well-known.
You can print eight photos for free every month (with only shipping fees of 242 yen). During pregnancy, you can create albums with ultrasound pictures and big belly photos, and after birth, you can use it for your child's photos. It’s free, so why not use it?!
